The battle system wasn't the problem. It was our high expectations of a game that simply didn't deliver. The original 2006 trailer looked epic and whilst I think the battle system is pretty good, it didn't look as good as the one party member v all scenario. Also, SE cut out alot like free roaming in towns and cities - the ability to interact with NPCs. Another thing is the game was incredibly linear, it was acceptable in the past, but there were moments where you could only walk ...
A "new" COD next year? well I'll be damned...Treyarch will no doubt be making it.
No matter how many CODs they make, I will be COD free. I haven't bought a COD since COD4.
Tomb Raider seems to have no problems in terms of finding locations so I'm sure ND can find other environments, or even reuse similar ones.

FFX is one of my favourite FF games so I hope it gets the best treatment. No need to remake the FMVs though because they looked brilliant anyway, and in HD they will be even better.
I can't believe its been 10 years since it came out...
I think its fine to play these games if you're a mature enough teenager. Besides, no matter how you go about parenting, kids always find a way to play these games. I used to go my friend's house to play Vice City. Aslong as parents bring up their kids properly with morals and values, I don't see the problem with letting 13-14 year olds play games like COD. You know parents have failed when you hear 13 year olds shout abuse with their mics.

I gave in and watched it. I stopped at 10:00 because it became spoilerific, and in any case, the video is from a really early build so you may aswell hold off until release.

I actually agree. I played UC2 last night straight after UC3 and I must say I think UC2 plays better. That said however, UC3 is one epic game and its a game everyone must play.

THE most underrated console of all time. For a launch price of £125 it was a BARGAIN.
This is the remake they're reviewing, not the original.
Besides, if you're going to change key things about Goldeneye i.e. Pierce Brosnan then you're asking for trouble. I'd only buy a Goldeneye remake if it kept to the film and used the likeness of the main characters. GE is one of my favourite films.
Besides, Activision made this (well, published) so I'm not expecting anything ground breaking.
