should be estimated by the camera not the controller
I am one of the happy 2.5 million owners. =o) of course I can understand why some people could care less to have because u wont be able to use it for call of duty or some rpg game. It a great device to get off the coach and get fit and have fun with friends and family. Im sure microsoft will be happy with there sales of units and new customers.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I love it lots of fun great way to get off the couch and get fit during the cold days ahead. no means I have a large living room and it works fine, I have mine mounted on the wall about six feet high and a bout 8 feet from the wall to the back of the couch.
Ok in my opinion the device is really sweet for what it does, I got it a few days ago for dance central it works really well, and most people would pay that price just for that game if it was a peripheral from Harmonix no different then rock-band or guitar hero which you could pay 200 or more for. It's just an option review, there are some review that rank it pretty high, I think the biggest complaint is the nav on the menu..
I don't know but hardware is a lot harder to produce then game titles on a disk. the real comparison would be against the move. I know that at most stores they are sold out ..

my daughter is 3 and half she 37 inches tall kinect does have issues with navigation but once I calibrate for her hight and get her in the game it works good and she is able to play most kinect games fine like kinect sports and adventures. maybe other kids of that age cant function at that level.
well to me it's peripheral like guitar hero or rock band. the real magic happens with the software and games.
I was out and about looking for kinect at 6 different stores, I couldn't find any 150 dollar kinect devices but I could find a few kinect consoles but only 400 dollar ones. Best Buy who has large supply had a few of the 300 dollar packages. to me is seems Microsoft is holding back on kinect peripheral and trying to sell more console kinect bundles. I think this is selling well for the wii audience of people.

not sure about the other games but the game that comes with the kinect is pretty fun in my "opinion" My daughter loved it too who is 3 1/2, but it did struggle with her because she is smaller then the 40 inch requirement. but this device will be great for the family and the people that love motion controlled games, the Wii moms and people alike. to me I feel that I hardly know that they are there.
I would love to see kinect and move combined in the next version of kinect, It would be the best of both worlds.
I like the beta faster and some great new features. Netflix was the best update. the only thing I don't like is the downloading for these apps. wish their was a choice during update to select which application to download, but not a big issue. I would still like to see a web browser, weather application and a youtube video or google.
does it matter when a customer could of bought 2 or more move controllers they should go closer to camera sales of the unit to represent closer sales figure of owner ship. I can say it seems both are doing really well to expand there sales and new kinds of customers.
