I'm definitely looking forward to this one. :)
You just pointed out the main reason in all of this
"Sony trying to offset the losses of its other division with the profit from its gaming division."
You know Pachter he loves underestimating the Big N.
@sikbeta
Bro your basing your computations off with the current pricing and situation of the Vita.
A lot can change with a price drop and whatever future games that can show up.
Honestly, there probably won't be any improvements in the Vita's situation this holiday. They clearly need Japan to pull this off but with an impending price drop next year, who knows what can happen.
The ball is in Sony's court. Its up to...
So we have people who won't pay for a $60 game (that will become cheaper in the future) but is willing to risk a console that would probably cost them more.
Genius!
Kudos to any company that is willing to protect their investments and loyal paying fans.
I actually agree with you because back then I thought Sony would continue what they were doing and that is come up with a quality console but with an affordable price range at launch.
I would never have expected them to go the premium route in terms of pricing and overloading the PS3 with probably unnecessary features (like the card reader for instance)
I second that!
@LX-General-Kaos
I don't think any doom and gloom article can be called "insightful" especially when they do not underline the real problems of a company, especially more-so when they continue to downplay a revenue generating brand.
Not to mention most of the so-called insightful articles does not even mention the steps and plans that the company may have because it may very well contradict with their opinions.
Incomplete report...
It can't be FFXIII Versus bro coz right now its SADLY still on vaporware status.
SE says its still in development but has yet to show anything new. We'll be lucky to see it on 2013. So I doubt its that game.
Bamco, while your at it. Please localize Tales of Vesperia (PS3), Tales of Innocence: R (PSV), .Hack//Link (PSP) and Tales of Hearts (DS) as well. We are missing a lot of good games from you.
Demos would be best bro. That way you can judge by yourself and not get swayed by other peoples "opinions", which is what reviews are.
As for the article, I have Resistance: Burning Skies and although I enjoyed it, the game needed a lot of polish (and I mean a lot) and with the development time they are putting into COD: Declassified. I'm worried about the quality of the game.
Nihilistic may not be one of the top devs out there but I always bel...
Gust take my cold hard earned money and localize this game!
One of the most underrated game this gen.
How I wish Sega would localize VC3 to the English speaking market.
I don't think Kojima ever went with realism... I mean giant robots, villains with super human ability, a bandanna that gives you infinite bullets... So I fail to see the point in all of this.
Clearly MGS is MGS and SC is SC.
Back then it was Comics, then it became TV shows and Movies and now Video games. Can't we just all accept that everyone goes through a rough patch known as puberty and its all about proper and responsible Parenting.
Why not just start with porting FF Type-0 and then localize it for the English speaking fans?
Sony is a hardware manufacturer first and foremost and if they won't exit a failing TV business of theirs, why would they exit one of their key revenue generating business?
Not when Kaz already stated that gaming, mobile and imaging is going to be their main core business. Its hard to imagine that happening without a Playstation in the console market.
Expect it to rise back up this holiday season.
How about Kirby? He can eat the zombies and gain their abilities... oh wait...
And most of those articles aren't even made by the media. Such is the nature of the internet where anyone can be a so-called journalist.
