Anyone with any brains knows that...
1.) Infinity Ward isn't really Infinity Ward anymore, since over 1/2 the studio left, and
2.) The "rift" was between Treyarch and the main guys behind IW...who are now Respawn.
...for a game that was in the making for 13 years. DNF should have stayed dead, if they couldn't get the quality up to current AAA standards. Duke...and the fans...deserve much better than this.

That's my one big problem: do I hold off on playing W2 now, on Ultra Spec...but with no achievements or cross-game chat...or wait until later this year, and buy the 360 version? I've only played for about 8 hrs (just got it a couple weeks ago off Amazon for $35.00), so the time investment isn't really an issue. I've switched between High and Ultra specs, just to see the difference...of which there is lit...
...unless it's on a table next to the bed. I have a 42" LG Plasma in my bedroom. It's on the facing wall, 6 ft. from the end of my bed; I have trouble playing games on it, because it looks too small. 24"? Hell, if I wanted that crap, I'd be a PC gamer.

...you couldn't necessarily do the same thing, with just a headset. Without the Kinect dev kit and software, Bioware would have had to write the VR software themselves, from scratch. You know, that stuff doesn't just happen magically, right?
Even though games like Mechwarrior and Rainbow Six have had voice commands in the past, those were design decisions by those devs, and they did all the coding to make it happen. In BioWare's case, they're utilizing MS&...

...until I realized they still use the same crappy 2.4 GHz frequency, which is EXTREMELY prone to interference with WiFi, and is the source for all the popping in previous models. I had to sell my X41s and go back to wired X11s because of that crap.
