Just because some small factory in China still makes them, doesn't mean it's still viable. Very few devs/publishers still make mainstream games for the system. Support trailed off dramatically about 3-4 years ago, with the exception of Wii ports, and quick money grabs like garbage movie tie-ins. Anyone still buying a PS2 in the past few years, is likely just replacing an old one, or getting something for their kids to mess with, to keep them off their PS3/360.

Hell, you don't have to be a genius to know that they NEED for the PS3 to last that long, just so they can have a "Slim" chance of turning a net profit for this gen. The PS2 carried them for the first 3-4 years...I fully expect the PS3 to do the same, when they launch their next console.

...when I got a $100 off coupon on a new 160G PS3 in my e-mail, from PowerUp rewards. I was shocked, because I rarely bother with GameStop, since I get much better deals on Amazon. But this was no strings attached...just print out the coupon, and buy a new 160G for $200 + tax. I bought mine a month ago, but never opened it, in case they dropped the price @ E3, and announced a new model again. I'll open it up soon, since I plan on getting Uncharted 3.

...as it was known around the time Homefront released. It's a realignment of THQ's internal studios...most involved have already moved on, or been integrated with another studio/location. This is just the "official" word that Kaos is no more. Homefront will not be affected by this.

No, those will be fine, as they are wired....USB connected and powered...and not wireless. Those are the newer versions of my X11s, but with 7.1 instead of 5.1. Should work fine...if you don't mind being tethered. I rarely use mine, because the wire always gets in the way. :o
