I just want to point out that regardless of what the attachment rate is, the sale number still matter.
It really doesnt matter if HD-DVD got 100% attachment rate if it manage to see 300,000 players, BD just need 10% of attachment rate to make it even.
In business sense, its better to sell 100 million unites and have only 10-20% attachment rate rather than selling 10million and have 50% attachment rate.
I spent 4 min trying to read and understand your point.
My conclusion, you are f**ked.....
Hummm I like to see when a doctor tells you that you got a brain cancer. You, then, run to your local game store, buy 20 PS3 and start folding like no tomorrow.
So scientists have been trying to cure cancer for the last 100 years, and did they succeed?
Like that article said, if you even read it, it required 30 CPU years to simulated folding. Its only been 3 years into this project and 1 year since PS3 contributed to the project (yes 40k PS3 have contributed more than 1 million PC) and you expect them to magically solve a hundred years old question?
The article dated in 1/11/07, how is that a news?
Anyway, I hope both version turn out nice and well, it would be a nice smack down if PS3 and 360 people can fight each other haha
The article is about a kid got suspended by some paranoia teachers.
How come it goes over to terrorisms?
anyway IMHO i think Bush isnt such a bad president, except the war and his unbelievably poor linguistic skills. Well, he managed to turn over half of the US population to spell Iraq the wrong way. (yes Iraq suppose to spell e-rak not i-rak)
Who is this guy??
If he said fill rate or whatever is better in the 360 at least show us the number.
We are talking about price drop from $499 to $99(from manufacture suggested price earlier this year, not the price Toshiba used later in the year to fight with BR according to the article.), this is dumping. Sony cut PS3 price from 599 to 499, this is not dumping.
Its doesnt really matter if Toshiba can do it only during black friday, its only matter if Toshiba can sustain that price for years.
Kmart didnt purchase Sears, in fact, after Kmart merge with Sears. Sears Holding Corp. purchased Kmart Holding Corp. so now Kmart is actually ran under board of director of Sears.

Got nothing to do with HD war, but just need to get to fact straight.
This is about helping other people, trolling here is just sad.
btw, good job Sony.
He was being sarcastic if you catch what he said.
Do you know that people who made this game are from Wizard of the Coast, and yes, they are American and they make this game for American.
That is a very good business analysis.
As for article.
I think to say that Sony is fighting 2 fronts war here is a little out of context. I think console war and HD war is 2 different battle fields. If BD somehow lose the war, (which at this point it safe to say thats quite impossible), Sony which use BD technology for storage device for gaming still stand, but as movie player will diminish. However, at that point PS3 sale should be indifferent from the out come of format war an...
There has been a post about reading speed on BR and DVD if you follow the news from about 5-6 months ago, you will know that dual layers DVD actually run at relatively same, if not, slower than dual or single layers BR.
If you are arguing that single layer DVD reading speed is faster then I wouldnt disagree but note that no game in this generation use single layer DVD.
No, Bioshock is not a new IP, it is the spirit prequel of Systemshock.
Bigbear I disagree about Sony facing any solvent situation, this fiscal year Sony did acquire some lone but it will be use largely on financing the cheaper version of PS3, not to make itself solvent.
Although last year Sony game division got hit with $100 billion lost, the Sony corporate overall still earn 109 million in income after tax.
And if you look at 3 years ratio, Sony quick and current ratio are hovering around 0.96 to 1.21 in the past 3 years, Sony is a...
Japan will rumble this november I believe, and they just confirm that dualshock 3 works with any PS3 from any region so you can certainly import. Ebay when it come out.
lol me too, I work in FutureShop and PS3 is sold out
There are more than 50 manufacturers and companies that supporting Blu-Ray, why dont they call those people also? Sony is just one of the 50..... they make it sound like Sony is the leader of BR associate.
Remember, Sega was notorious about dropping support from its console. Microsoft is the same case, but it takes time before people realize it.
