Spot on assessment! Of course graphics matter, but if great graphics are going to hamper the gameplay then we have a problem. Of course we're all going to stare in wonder at the great graphics, for about 5 minutes for most of us, and if the gameplay is boring than than the pretty pixels won't save it from being a chore to play.
