I can't believe so many people waited for reviews before checking out this game. How hard is it for you people to think for yourselves? Is it only hype or reviews that determine how you spend YOUR money?

Skyrim has terrible combat so anything will be an improvement. Not going to praise a game simply because it has a large pretty playground to use a variety of samey character types.
Skyrim is heralded for its graphics and mods that make them shinier. That doesn't make a fun or interesting rpg for a lot of gamers.

I read it as gameplay gamers look elsewhere for fun. Totally fine with that, just stop screaming GOTY for just pretty pixels.
How could you skim out on the gameplay with werewolves and such? Story of another generic pale face saving the world with unique weaponary, very original. But as long as the generic gameplay is solid then it won't get in the way of the story because, you know that's more important when playing multiple playthroughs, right?

Amen. Are we really defining generations by pixel upgrades? That's it? Not a single "nextgen" game couldn't have been done with the 7th gen hardware minus the extra shiny graphics. Sick of "gamers" being impressed or satisfied at such lazy upgrades.

Didn't disagree with you but have to ask one question, how many of those hours were spent farming for souls/items? I think you'd surprise yourself how long you actually spent on the "story mode".
Once you know the enemy placement and movesets you can steam roll thru each games "story" in just a few hours or less, depending on player skill level.
I think it boils down to how some people ARE declaring it goty from 12minutes of footage because of the graphics while anyone who is concerned or shows criticism about the gameplay from that same 12 minute demo is labeled a hater.
Positive feedback only ISN'T going to improve something that might need a second look at.

Agreed with the first part of your post but disagree that people will move on to the "better" games you mentioned. Tons of racers prefer a more arcade experience than a SIM racer.
Quite honestly I find sims to be overly boring, very pretty cars/landscape, very boring to drive. Tons of people dont want "realism" in their racing.
Why bother? The controller isn't going to change in 2 or 3 years, might as well continue to skip PS consoles for a 3rd generation.

Hell no. In no way am I saying uc2 mp isn't good, but 3 is better BECAUSE of loadouts and not spawn camping weapons the ENTIRE match playing keep away.
