I'm not sure the author knows what a "Diablo-like" game is.

It was the best selling exclusive because gamers had no idea how bad it would be. Look at the number of people playing. That should be a true indicator of the game. Not first day sales. And don't bring up "CoD titles brought down it's population" because Halo3 had solid numbers years after release and it survived numerous CoD titles. Reach is just a rushed product. @Bob570: That's true for almost every franchise. Do you think every developer starts from scratch after every game?
Reach was one of the most over-hyped games I had ever played. Kinda glad Bungie is moving on. They didn't put the same heart like they did with the other Halo games. ODST on the other hand was great. Would have been better if they didn't sell it as a full priced game. I had no grievance with the price but many did and rightfully so. Should have been a downloadable expansion pack because that's all it was.
Test out what? They didn't use what I thought was really important in the first game: score streaks.
