"Ubisoft open worlds are not only fun because of their formula; they are their formula."
I don't know what to make of this. People complain all the time that AC had become too formulaic, now that that formula is gone, it's a bad thing?
So it's a non formulaic Ubisoft game and that's what's wrong with it?
Mods... on a game that's been in Alpha since 2014?
It's happened before. It certainly makes logical sense. I remember hearing that XBSS is about 75% of XBS ownership.
Developing a console game means a dev would have to have 1 version for XB and PS. They're aiming for sales so that tracks.
A PS5/XBSX can play the lower end version. But the higher end version cuts out 3/4 of the Xbox market.
Valve does not make games with the number 3 in them.
HL3 is not happening.
We could take all day listing new games that people hated because they were new and new games that were loved because they were new.
You're both correct. There are some games that were hated before launch decades ago and every year since. It's not new. Usually, you can see it coming.
Then there are games that are universally adored, launch and are loved but when you get to play it, it's meh.
That explains it. Was wondering why I was down voted for just saying what the game was. Not praising it just stating what it was.
But there there is no battle pass, no microtransactions, it's not a GaaS, all the cosmetics unlock as you play a character for that character.
The whole game (all weapons) is available when you buy it. It's not a "full price game."
All I ever hear is that people complain about those types of games.
I think the problem was marketing. That trailer made me think I was going to play an SP space game.
This IP has such potential for video games such as great prefab characters with their own histories. I still wish there was an X-Com style isometric game. But FPS, RTS (where you can play a Cobra if you want), SP. There are so many possibilities.
Bonus is that we'll feel like we're awesome at FPS hero shooters instead of being ranked 62,789th.
@raider
ROFL, if you don't put /s you know people will misunderstand you....Poe's Law and all that.
By that logic, reviews only count if they match the narrative a person agrees with.
1) It does have positive Stream reviews.
2) "Woke" is this 2020? What do your weird politics have to do with a video game?
3) You actually make a good point about "hate from gamers" who haven't played it yet.
£718.99 / $999
It's the same hate we see all the time. If the character is not a straight white male Christian, it must be woke.
Didn't click. I don't want leakers nor the sites that publish them to get traffic.
Womp womp, scalpers.
Is it really bad? Like Pillars of Eternity 2 bad?
What? How does that even relate to what Silver said? It's a shame that Silver said that non gaming channels are getting hated because they have videos of the game?
Is this really what your anger is all wrapped up in? How other people exist? That's weird.
