An interesting premise. At Kickstarter I am risking $15 for Shadowrun, in which I get a digital copy of the game in return. If it doesn't come out, I don't get my money back.
If I risk $60 on Skyrim (AAA title, BTW) for my PS3, I get a broken game that is unplayable (I know it is fixed now). Point being that though the game was published, it was broken when it came out.
I think there is risk anytime you buy a game. AAA doesn't necessarily me...
I already contributed to the upcoming Shadowrun game. I have no problem with this idea. It is FOW (full of win.)
Is #1 Fallout 3/ Skyrim PS3 lag?
Really? Uncharted 3? And games that didn't come out this year? Simply astounding. And an editor that ignored all reports.
If you have a console get Dark Souls. If you have a PS3 get Dark Souls and Demon's Souls. Open world insanity in a great RPG.
Watch out! You disagreed with Destructoid: They will attack you with disagrees and negative bubs. They will do it to me just because I warned you.
Max Payne indeed. I prebought Game of Thrones already: Free Art Book! weeee!
@Ganjaman,
lulz. I first got baked before you were born. Second, with a name that has anything to do with marijuana chances are you haven't even seen it let alone smoked it.
But, wait, What are popups? Do they still exist?
I don't know that it is N4G, per se, I think it is more the flamebait articles and trolling pieces that constantly find their way onto the site. Not to mention websites that require their employees to have n4G accounts so they can get their stories approved and rocketed to the top and attack anyone who disagrees with them.
Really? How is Netflix a game?
The Dave Chappelle clip at the bottom is funny.
But I don't 420.... I 419. So all you lames can go somewhere cause I just got high a minute before you.
OOooh somebody disagrees with pirates!
It is here to stay. They have more than met their monetary goals, now it is expanding upon those goals and the game. I already pledged 15 to it (free digital download) but I will get it retail too.
Plus it is being made by the designers of the original games from SNES and Genesis, I believe.
That's why I can't wait for Dust 514. It is a shooter but not like this at all. I like COD MW games, but I do find that the MP experience seems a bit meaningless. When I want meaningless fun, I will play it but with Dust the wins actually matter. It affects the games environs.
I'm sure someone could come up with a better list of exclusives. I also add the caveat that Kinect games (sans a few) really shouldn't be in a top list. They should be separate.
And Pirates!!! Yar!
Assassin's Creed: The Boxer Rebellion!
So. You don't think the group that are protesting them aren't using Automated Bots? Hmmm....
Revengeance...
Not sure what you mean. I was thinking, "What is to be afraid of, you already have the new dev kits, those tend to be the most expensive part (sans advertising) of developing."
So, you need 200 mil per game? Don't they have this after charging $60 per copy?
The difference I think is going to come down to how you make a game. A good physics engine, a good game engine, and a good graphics engine. The developers will be able to focus more on ...
