I think you are right because when we look back at some of the most played games of the golden era, their concepts were completely off the wall. Imagine pitching these games today:

Couldn't agree more. I loved Medal of Honor. They nailed spawning to make it feel like it was an actual battle. I have to admit that I liked BFBC2 Story and Multi better than BF3. I will keep trying the BF3 MP but the story (though good) has some silly glitches on the PS3 (ie my squad leaving enemies alive and running past them; too many scripted events not allowing me to fight where I want to).

I don't know about Xbox but I do play both PS3 and PC. On the PS3, I find the occasional mic spammer, like you said, but usually a really bigoted piece of crap gets shouted down and made fun of. One of the best examples when someone on my side during MW2 had "kkk" as his clan tag. I followed him around shooting my gun so the opposition would know where he was. He rage quit.

Well, based on the Kickstarter rewards system most people that donated over $95 get one, so it already sold about 2000 units.
@3Gen I think it a bit more than that however, I do know that multiplayer games will be a waste of time because the machine can be modded and hacked to the owner's delight (which I normally don't mind) and not one MP game would be devoid of cheaters.
Yeah, the article creator should have picked a better term. It isn't about cheating, wherein the top 5 would have been COD. Cheaters use aimbots, wallhacks, and glitches to win. A better headline would be "Top 5 Games for Cheat Codes." or "Top 5 Cheat Codes for Games."
