"Yellow Journalism - n
the type of journalism that relies on sensationalism and lurid exaggeration to attract readers"
Yes. Journalists used to have integrity. What do you think Ray Bradbury is talking about in Fahrenheit 451? (source: http://www.laweekly.com/200...
Wonderful post. Spot on. Gaming journalism has really gone downhill. And there are varying reasons. When EGM returned, I was ecstatic and subscribed right away. It took awhile for my first issue. They did some neat stuff with electronic publishing and I loved my physical magazine as well. But then they went icrazy and everything was about maximizing the digital content for the iPad and completely ignored the many subscribers that had backed their return and weren't really intereste...
Trolling is another dead end for Gameinformer
Good list of characters and games. All stellar!
The most Badass side scrolling shooter (or, as it used to be known: shooter) is Area 88 (known as UN Squadron in the west.)
I actually have 3D Dot Game Heroes, Motorstorm and Valkyria Chronicles, which is a fantastic game. The only problem would be no trophy support and the sequels went to the psp. I have been thinking about Folklore (don't know why I haven't grabbed it) and Disgaeia (or however the hell you spell it.)
You win for Manhunt. And Manhunt 2 without the blur and Move support (I had it for Wii and thought that it was an interesting use of the motion controls)
I actually have thought about the climbing in both games and the fact that it is "easy" has to do with the character being in good shape and an adventurer. Sometimes (especially in revelations) I think it is stupid to have the player character fall to their death because they may not have pushed in the exact right direction the code expects them too. It makes for a more fluid, realistic gaming experience: (explanation) Why would my character, when trying to jump across a crevasse ...
I am suing you for writing this reply about suing. I imagine someone will sue me for replying to your response about suing which will in turn force me to countersue that person due to psychological damages incurred while filing paperwork to countersue. You see, he/she shouldn't be able to sue ME(!!) only I should be able to sue. And I am suing you. /s*

3,2,1...GO! ;P
I would actually like to see it. I would, of course argue for Dragon Quest VIII. And I would think the list must contain games that aren't on the PS3 in any way shape or form.
So I should get this game as well. Damn, PS+ has more than paid for itself. I haven't even played Infamous 2 yet, I have such a damned backlog!
@Legion
I'll never understand the argument to give up freedom. But these should help you understand how far our society has slipped.
1) Airplane. Go rent this PG movie, then you will get an idea of how ridiculous censorship has become. Consider that the film was PG and how that has all changed.
2) Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Get the edition with CODA and read his remarks about censorship. CODA can be found for free on the web but F451 is still an ...
"Censorship is telling a man that he can't have a steak because a baby can't chew it."
-attributed to Mark Twain
The only argument for censoring that I have heard that makes any sense is if it contains non consensual images.
Indeed, but the irony of the article is that the author talks about killing children is somewhere no game should go and uses Fallout 3 as an example. In FO3, you can sell a child into slavery, which in turn means rape/ molestation/ exploitation which conceivably be far worse than death.
How about the lead in Assassin's Creed III Liberation?
Actually, Jak and Dexter sounds rather.... intriguing.
Yay!
Still wish this was multiplat or at least on the PS3. VIII was on the PS2. Sounds great that you can play single player... sounds a bit like Diablo III, online but you don't have to play with others.
Actually MySims Agents is a really good game. The best in the Mysims series.
I get 100 Mbps with FiOS and that is quite fast. But I get NO data cap which Google says comes with a paid for service. A data cap? Why?
