The average reaction to the GoW collection announcement has been very, very positive.

Bought it as soon as I saw the first trailer.
It was such a fresh concept (for me, anyway) and so fun to play.
Then 2 and 3 came (which I bought for the Xbox 360) and yeah, the soundtrack kept getting (for the most part) better.
Then Rock Band came, and that made things seemingly better, with more instruments.
Then we started getting a lot of DLC for both games.
Then Rock Band 2 came, along with "gig" bags and a lot more accessories.
Then GHWT cam...

Great games should be enjoyed by everyone.
I was kind of frustrated by GTA4, but since people said TL&TD was a lot more fun, and since THIS one definitely looks like a lot more fun as well, I think I might buy the DVD with the 2 DLC's.

Never tried the Oddworld games, but they look quite good.
I mean, I don't really care if people are gay or not, if they're happy and they're not hurting anyone, then go right ahead.

They were pretty fun, particularly "Wayward" for the Ps2.

Man, one of the finest games ever made, IMO.
Between this, and inFamous (which I'll pick up tomorrow, after having played the amazing demo), I have literally no need for another free-roamer.
These 2 are WAY more fun than GTA4, which ramped up the realism, but forgot about the fun.

I'd bet 100 bucks that this guy's top ten list for current games includes Halo 3 and GTA4.
Just to make it clear, it's not a console thing. It's just that most people "bred" on shooters are very quick to dismiss the "slow (WTF)" pace of a traditional RPG.
I see it akin to comparisons between "The Shining" or "The Thing", and the Saw/Hostel movies.
A lot of people nowadays just have no patience.

That this is one of the 2 reasons I got a Ps3 (the other being Killzone 2).
inFamous gives me a "Crackdown" vibe (I own that game and I love it) but with a more serious, superhero vibe. I seriously cannot wait.
