I like this idea if true. New controllers shouldn't necessarily be exclusive to the start of a new generation. You could come out with a new controller every 2 years for all I care as long as they everything is still compatible.

You're spot on about the catroonish style with the exception of the water. That's the only aspect of the game that wasn't cartoony from what I played. There are times when lightening strikes and you see it through the crashing water and it looks incredible. Oh and when you fall overboard and look up to see the rolling ocean above you is one of the coolest visuals that i've seen used in a video game. I can only imagine what that would look like on a 4k big screen.
Yes and no. the X1 isn't going to turn the tides with regards to number of systems sold. Sony has won this generation. What sony might need to worry about are their 3rd party royalties from games sales as people who play multiplats may opt for the X1X version. So theres some potential stolen sales with that regard but it's not going to be astronomical.

Microsoft was just more aggressive with getting developers on board. Sony will benefit from this in the long run so it's good for them as well.

But it's not the only AAA game that the xbox will get the entire year. There's a ton of those as well.

I think that if you are a fan of racing games, you would appreciate the yearly offerings similar to sports games. I don't see how giving racing fans more options is a bad thing.

History tells us that's not always the case though no? PC's having the "best" version. I think it's great if you have a gaming rig and you prefer to play on it. For the remaining 90% of gamers that don't have a gaming PC, we have two options when it comes to "Best Version" machines. PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Serious question nX, Why would you get a PC when you can get an xbox one x for 500 dollars? So much cheaper and easier than having to deal with all of that other stuff. I mean, if you have the extra time and money and are less concerned with convenience.. then, i guess but even then.. I just don't see a reason to own a PC for gaming. If you have a PC already, then sure but to buy a PC specifically for gaming seems unnecessary. But, if that's how you want to spend your money, who am I ...

If Crackdown's multiplayer destruction is as good as they claim it to be, It could have taken them 5 years and I would still be impressed. I just don't fully believe it's real. Calculating that much in the cloud with our crappy internet speed (speaking for myself here..) just doesn't seem possible. NOW, if it is, and it does.. I will eat that crow with you my friend.
You're probably right. The Coalition did gears 4 in about 2 years which is pretty crazy. I'm sure they could do it again especially since they have a lot of the assets built now.
If Microsoft had crazy stipulations, Sony would have found a way to make those publicly known by now. They are just concerned about security, as they should be. But there's a way to do both. I also think you're missing the point of Cross Play. It's bigger than brand loyalty. It's about all of us getting to play the same game together regardless of the box we chose.
