Games that use the Gamepad in cool intuitive ways will get my money. Assassin's Creed 3, Aliens Colonial Marines, RPGs. Any game that's open world and requires constant looking of the map will be games I buy for my Wii U.
I don't think Nintendo will be having as many exclusives as the PS3 and 360 do considering there 6+ old at this point. Now the PS4 and 720 Nintendo will have a huge advantage on.

Nintendo is fantastic for gaming. They have proved it with quality titles for more than 25 years. The gaming landscape without Nintendo is not a good one.
You never know. Nintendo's franchises can bring that number up. Make solid versions of Mario Kart, Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros, plus getting more 3rd party content like Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, and Bayonetta 2..... Look out the Wii U could reach that number. Nintendo can still release Wii Sports 2 and market that to casuals.
Mario Kart on the Wii U might break 50 million. The Wii U will sell around 80 to 90 million.

Im actually in love with the Wii U. Mario at Launch was huge. ZombiU is the hardcore game I wanted on Wii U. Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge is a fantastic game. The eShop is clean and works fine. Nintendo has done a spectacular job with Wii U. It completely destroys the Wii in every aspect.
Zelda, Smash Bros, Mario, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Pokemon, in HD.... enough said. The Wii U is going to do just fine. Just as long Nintendo releases these games.

Trophies and achievements have nothing to do with Nintendo's success or failure. Not to mention if they become that important, Nintendo could always add them. Plus the Vita has trophies, 3DS doesnt..... Vita is getting its ass kicked. Nintendo knows what hardcore gamers want. Metroid, Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, Fire Emblem.

This is a mistake. I thought games cant boot off of a sd card. Usb should be good because the solution in this article makes playing games like tekken tag impossible on the 8gb wii u basic set if you download the game digitally
The two things you noted don't have much impact on the overall potential of the system. And the loading times can be fixed with a patch. I spent most of my time playing games, not going through menus.
As far as the controller goes, it was a non issue. Controller needs juice, plug it in keep playing, no problem.
