I will never go fully digital for home console games. I like to have the option of selling them in the future if I want to. Or physically taking my game over to a buddies house.
People said the same thing about the music industry yet CDs are still around.

Ni No Kuni is one good JRPG compared to how many shooters on the market? And trust me, Ni No Kuni won't last long on the top of the charts.
Multiple sku, bare bones version for $400, Premium versions for $500. A bunch of first and 3rd person shooters. JRPGs go extinct on the PS4 and Xbox 720 as both companies wont give a F about Japan anymore.

Another one of these articles? Yes, Wii U will survive. And yes even after the PS4 and Xbox 720 come out. Everybody is hyping up those consoles like the whole world is going to run out and buy them on launch day. It takes time for consoles to build momentum.
Nintendo is working with Platinum to get the Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2 on Wii U. Atlus and Nintendo are also working together for Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem. So I think there doing a good job.
Blade Mode on Wii U would work really well. AR mode and inventory management.
Im not even trying to troll here but.....we all know at least 2 of these are kinect based. The other one is probably a shooter. Leaving one game that I might actually care about. I forgot Microsoft actually makes anything outside of Halo, forza, and Fable
I'll take you up on that bet Battleaxe. Wii U will not doubt be around for more than 3 years. I think your forgetting the Japanese market where Microsoft is non-existent and Nintendo has exclusive deals with Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest, and Bayonetta 2.
Yeah, Samus having some sort of stat upgrades available to her would be a welcomed edition.
Metroid has always been more interesting gameplay wise to me than Halo. Metroid has upgrades, platforming, scanning, hidden areas and secrets. I can't get into the Halo single player campaigns. I played Halo 1 and 2 multiplayer in Lan parties with my buddies in High school every weekend.
I think it will actually look better than most PC games because of the Art style. Yeah PC can push way more polygons, but Retro's art team is one of the best in the business. Medal of Honor has some of the best graphics on a decked out PC, but I think Halo 4 looks better because of the art direction and animations. There are more to games 'looking' great than raw specs.
I can only imagine how fantastic this game would look on the Wii U. Metroid Prime 3 was in SD 480p Widescreen and looked amazing! What is Retro going to do with a fully HD console, and dynamic controller? We should see this game at E3 this year.
Just looking for hits, thats all. The Wii U is not selling up to Nintendo high expectations. But New Super Mario Bros U can only take you so far. Everybody who wanted that game has bought a Wii U and it. Nintendo needs to just bring out Smash Bros, Zelda, Mario Kart, Metroid, ect and the fans who like those games will pick one up, its not rocket science.

I like your number 1 idea! However I don't think its going to happen. Japanese developers could barely afford to develop on the PS3 and Xbox 360. Most of the Japanese developers have invested into the portable market and Wii U. However, Sony needs to internally make more Japanese style games. I would love for them to greenlight a first party RPG on the PS4 with the budget of a Uncharted or Killzone game.
