The most you'll have though is the incredible online multi-player matches, if alot of ps3 users play this online. If your not a big multiplayer fan then pass it up, otherwise have fun.
I saw some older ps3 shots that didn't look so good though, so if it's a bad port then I'd wait a while but if it's been polished up, go for it.
Gaming aside, I just wanted to say "MERRY CHRISTMAS" To All!!!!
Regardless of your preferred system, have fun this week and enjoy the game/s that you get, or had to buy your self as I did:))) If I left it up to my wife, she'd buy me pacman for the PC or Gamecube, LOL!!

You say the PS3 slaps the Xbox 360, wow your a major tool aren't you?
It's only been due to a ps3 price cut the last few weeks that ps3 has sold most anything at all, Xbox 360 is still winning and as soon as there price cut the Xbox 360 numbers will again climb highest amongst consoles.
Both versions will release August 2008.
At no time will all 5000 be on screen at once or in the same battle, the 100 vs 100 type battles will also be spread open in huge assed environments as you can clearly see in the demo.
They reworked the game using a new MS technigue in mass game play so it'll be excellent at release.
Also remember the cities/maps will be miles upon miles so not all 100 or 5000 will be in the same space at once, that wouldn't be a very good battle if they were. And the maps are ever changing, meaning they'll be growing sometimes getting additions as you play.

Both version look like worse than ps2 alpha versions, lol, but seriously for ex., pause a game w/equal screens and you can see and read the licence plate on the Xbox 360 version and only see smudges on the ps3 basically but that's digging for a rock in a pile of dirt b/c both suck.
The Gametrailers version which shows a much much better clearer and larger version of video than this shows a better Xbox 360 version, seeing the ps3 with less clear version and significant jaggies through it, and then this pathetic verison which isn't good at all and shows nothing clear at all on either and they wanna say the ps3 is better? I stopped video 6x and saw equal or clearer 360 version each time. HA HA HA !!! That's funny:) Not true at all, but funny:)) The ps3 will most always lag...

You don't make a game fall into the GOTY category just b/c you like it's nice cut scenes, that's why it didn't make it. GOTY are enlisted into that category b/c of there tremendous game play.

Very nice graphics, excellent killer moves, a niche that makes it different than others in the same category, yeah I'm lovin it.
Online should/could be great too. Nice blood effects and weapon choices. I pray the environments are large enough to take advantage of this type of gameplay.
I was surprissed that the PS3 was also getting this and not just the Xbox 360.
