That Sony Blockade though lol. Holy crap! That being said, I'm glad Sony is getting rid of their PC division and separating the TV unit. It's crazy that they have to make such drastic changes, but I understand they have to stay afloat.
A disagree for a simple opinion? Lol gotta love N4G!
This was a good read. I'm primarily a Nintendo gamer, but I go where the games are whether it's Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, or PC. One of my favorite games of last year is an indie title on Steam. Not a big budget title nor an exclusive from the big three.
-_- Guys, this news is old lol. Nintendo merged their console and handheld teams, or were talking about it last year lol.
X was in showable form at the January 2013 Direct. It's a good chance we'll get it this year, even if at the end of the year.
Think about why third party is important on consoles though. It diversifies a library and gives the player more of a selection of genres to play, different styles within genress, more selections, etc. Variety.
I believe that if Nintendo collaborated with others and got some exclusives that provided quality content from all genres, i.e. strengthening the library, and pushing these games, the Wii U would still be getting support regardless and there would be support that would ...
So many good games coming out this year for Wii U. I really hope Nintendo pushes them. Especially Bayo 2 and Monolith Soft's new game. It's vital.
I don't have Alzheimer's, but it does run in my family (and I have some memory issues lol). I'll honestly be looking forward to this for myself.
I think it's odd that we haven't gotten a Nintendo Direct this month. The investor's meeting tonight highlighted a lot of issues Nintendo has been having. I wonder when we'll see results.
Great interview. Looking forward to this game.
No disrespect, but did you actually read the article? The author isn't saying that Iwata should step down. It's more of a revisitation of history. People are calling for Iwata's head, but Yamauchi picked him for a reason.
I totally agree. I think that once Nintendo has this year of core titles, where they choose to go hereafter will make a lot more sense.
The issue in itself isn't so much that Nintendo is losing money. It's that on top of a host of other issues, such as Nintendo hasn't took a loss in 30 or more years before now, and the fact that the Wii U has had a crazy post launch drought, and Nintendo hasn't clearly outlined what the Wii U is. Personally, I think Nintendo will be fine and that for the sake of game play Iwata is a great choice. I think that once Nintendo comes out with a clear cut plan and reacts accordingly...
One thing that I find especially interesting is how closely Iwata's job performance has mirrored how Yamauchi expected him to perform. It's also kinda odd that Yamauchi would appoint someone with such drastic practices as well. Yamauchi was no bs and hard hitting. Iwata is much more lenient and graceful lol.
My mind would be completely blown if Apple entered as a competitor to the console market. I’m intrigued to say the least. It’s crazy how people underestimate mobile and gaming by other means that aren’t by dedicated consoles. I don’t think that console gaming would become obsolete, but people shouldn’t outright dismiss that they can co-exist. Remember when Sony and then Microsoft entered the market? People thought it was nuts that companies that aren’t dedicated game makers could compete with...
I'm not even into survival horror games, but this definitely looks like a an interesting title. A: CM burned so many people though. I hope that the Aliens franchise will be able to recover.
Best comment ever.
This article won't see the light of day lol.

I had no idea most of these games existed until now. Good list.
