For comparison's sake:
Roughly 3.5 million 3DS's in Japan at the launch of Super Mario 3D Land(Nov, 3 2011) . 343k copies of 3D Land. About 10% attachment rate.

The Wii U's issue is not the lack of power, it's the slow influx of games and killer apps. 2014 will be that time. If the Wii U still fails to catch on next year, then Nintendo is in trouble. Anything else, like certain features, can be fixed with a simple firmware update....
