Let's examine as to why one wouldn't give out, publicly, exactly the nature of such an intrusion.
If you're hacked, you're not going to give out much information to the enemy as to how much you know about the intrusion.
You know why?
Because then the opponent would know your exact progress and be able to counter even the solutions you THOUGHT you had.

Gotta give it to Sony, they've battled everything this generation. Richest company in the world head-starting them, fad-popular Wii coming out at the same time as them and undercutting their price, "sony-is-doomed" articles, earthquake and nuclear crisis at their homebase, exploited by geo-hot, and now battling the most notorious hackers in the world.
It's tough being the best, and only the best survive. =)

I said the DS would fail but the touch-screen helped to prove me completely wrong.
I said the Wii would flop but the motion controls helped to prove me completely wrong.
I keep thinking Nintendo doesn't have the money to hang with Sony and Microsoft but somehow they always do. Maybe they just get lucky. Maybe they know something nobody else does.
I would say that they have a fanbase that will buy anything but Nintendo products HAVE flopp...
