That's what I was meaning. It as premiered as a social-centric racer. I'm not a big racing fan, but this had me very interested... yet this is where it has fell apart.
It's total BS... I don't think it was anywhere near completion. I think they needed another 6 months, but Sony needed a racer.
Edit: I'm a PlayStation player but I'm not blind. It was put out well before it was complete. Only a fool would say otherwise.
Obviously they think about money, but you can't deny that Microsoft were trying to force way too much.
If I own a music store and have a love of music, does that make me anti-consumer if I try and sell a guitar? What if I offer you one with 6 strings and another with 5 but charge you more, just because I tell you it will sound better when you put the 6th on it?
I don't think microsoft even understood it themselves when they first brought it out. I'm not a hater, as I will probably buy one at some point, but it's pretty plain to see that they fired a blank at their reveal, along with the policies etc...
if it was the better console I would have bought it straight out... but it isn't.

DOA has a solid fighting system. I'll definitely be having this.

I got bored after brotherhood. I tried to finish AC3 but after around 9 hours, I just gave up. I'd like to think Unity will go back to its best... But I'm losing faith in ubisoft.

I was gonna write something similar, but I also though it would be like kojima ending metal gear. I wouldn't be very happy. As long as it's not every single year a new uncharted comes out, then I don't see why they have to end it. Metal gear is every few years and it builds up excitement for many gamers and fans. UC4 is already gaining loads of excitement too.
But it's down to the developers. They already know the fans want more.
It's like buying a GQ or FHM magazine. 20 pages of advertising before you get to anything worthwhile.
As much as it's good that there are developers supporting last gen, it's holding this gen back. Last generation has had a long enough run at it... Way too long I think. We have new hardware and I'm pretty sure things should keep moving forward.
I Definitely won't be missing the PS+ version. It's just a waiting game now :)
Rockstar & Manhunt spring to mind. That was a very gory/violent game. Although you were the good guy.
I'm not a big fan of racers and I was so close to buying this... I probably still will once it's fixed and they have the weather etc...
But it is a bit of a disaster. Shame too.
Fallout & BFBC2 have excellent dlc. Fallout as a complete - full to the brim - game as it stood, and the DLC added that extra decent amount to it. BFBC2 we got the Vietnam expansion, which was amazing!
But there are too many others that fall short with decent content...in my opinion.
I still have my 60GB ps3 (1tb) along with my ps4!
