Lol, you don't have to do or change anything, I asked a question.
So just to be clear, you think All the Resident Evil games, original God of war, Dead space 2, Alan Wake 1, Max Payne 1 and 100s of other games are short? Because most of them clock in at 9hrs...
Again, you can feel, and consider anything you want short...but let's be honest, do you complain about some of the games I mentioned the same way you do this game?
HELLBLADE 2, HELL YEAH!!
But 8 hours isn't really that short for this type of game. RE 7-8 were only 9.5 hours lol.
Only this is $50 for 8hrs.
Only its not 5hrs, it's 8hrs.
and many top games are 8-9 hours in length, Resident evil 7-8, 9hrs, Dead Space 2 9hrs, the original God of War 8-9hrs...Max Payne 3 9hrs... I can find many more, but you get the point.
Part of the reason the game has been in dev so long is that, at one point, they switched to UE5; also, naturally, modern games just take more time to produce, especially with this type of graphics and sound.
It's 8 hrs; how is that short for a story-driven narrative game?
Why do people keep saying 4-5hrs? It's 8hrs and cost $50!
For comparison, Resident Evil 7-8 are 9-hour games, the first God of War game (OG) was 9 hours, Dead Space 2 was 9 hours, Max Payne 3 was 10 hours, and Alan Wake was 10 hours.
What are we bitching about here?
I wish they would remake Condemned!!
Excellent games.
Bioshock 2 was masterful in gameplay.
Some people say 1 was the better game, but I disagree, one may have had slightly better atmosphere, but 2 took the gameplay to another level that made 1 feel like something was missing. The big sister moment were heart racing.
Hope you enjoy BS2 as much as I did...
The Bioshock series is in my top 5 favorite game series ever.
I even bought it on the Switch when it launched lol.
I have already started playing; I think I will wait for the patch to continue. I guess the dev was correct; this game seems like it will have a cult following after a terrible launch.
Adding it to PS+ and offering constant discounts(I got it for $8 on SX) is the right move. Hopefully, it will give their next game more recognition, and they should also be more careful not to launch around other heavy hitters.
Elda, it's not an opinion though... everyone at MS/Xbox are not game developers...that is like saying they should have the team that works on the UI, not work on the UI and sit around doing nothing, all because you and jin don't like the games, which btw is an opinion, because fact is they do put out games, a lot actually.
So AGAIN, not all divisions of any company works on developing games, some are platform, and even design...you can't say, they should put tho...
How come? Do you collect digital games?
Do you prefer playing on PC?
I'm just being curious as I have seen others say similar things. I would feel like I'm paying for the same thing twice.
This game looks great!
I'm on it.
You do know they have different internal departments, right?
Yeah, let's call Bob from accounting to help with Fable development.
You are aware that everyone at MS/Xbox is not a game developer, right?
What a stupid comment.
True!
Fair point.
I doubt it will reach 160 million.
MS/Xbox is not going anywhere; whenever something shifts, people get all doom and gloom, lol. MS is making money on software and services, and hardware eventually becomes profitable. The problem is it's the same market over and over, with the lion's share going to their direct competitor, Sony. Fan loyalty is a real thing; it's almost like politics, where "your" side can't do anything wrong, and if they do, you brush it under the rug and keep cheering.
<...
Man, you are hard to please lol.
This month just saw, Evil West, Diablo 4, Light Year Frontier, Open Roads, Hot Wheels, The Quarry, MLB: The show, No more Heros 3, Control:UE, and NBA24, just to name a few...that's a lot of decent to great content, and April already has the new ARk: coming.
I'm not trying to discredit your decision, but just saying , that is a well rounded line up.
Crimson,
Of course, you can voice your opinion, but one thing stands out.
Out of everything I said, including the game being 8 hours, you keep saying 5 hours. What game are we talking about? You also mention $70. This game is 8 hours and costs $50. Again, what are you referring to that is 5hrs and $70?
Just to be clear, the topic is Hellblade 2, an 8-hour, $50 game, and none of the other games I compared it to were 5-hour games.
