i wish somebody would come around and innovate the open world rpg genre. bethesda has lost steam, and people keep following its old design. open world fantasy rpg dev's quit thinking outside the box years ago. please instill some excitement back into this sub-genre, because i love it and its becoming stale

I WOULD LOVE THIS, absolutely. as long as they don't bring the perk system from reach, which even if they did that i would enjoy it, but not to the extent of a full remake with upgraded mechanics, but keeping the same simple everybody has the same abilities.
oblivion, yes. dead rising, no. it was very fun, but redundant and the quest/save system was just annoying. the time limit restricted the amount of fun you could havef, and i hate escort missions, the whole damn game is an escort mission, and annoying ones at that.
i would like the world to feel a little more varied and expansive. give me a mountain to cross at least, i want the feeling that i traveled to a far off land, a journey. the fact that i can hop across cyrodill in 20 minutes or less, takes me out of the experience.
also, a better horse riding system, somehow make the grass and objects render in a little further away, and i didn't realize it till i played demon's souls and went back to oblivion, but the combat is awf...
its more significant for some races more than others, but overall yes its a very significant change for even the first 10 levels, the game is much more alive, not just static npc's standing around, they move and interact with you. one low level quest sent a co op friend with me that kept chatting with me the whole time, actual voice chatting not just text.
s so whoever disagrees denies the FACT that there is more cutscenes, upgraded graphics, and better quest design? like i said before, N4G is pathetic and full of people who don't really enjoy games, their real hobby is hating on them.
really, you played it? sounds like a typical wow hater. people can't accept that it is plain out the best most polished mmo, the old republic will be amazing, but it wont start off as polished as wow, it'll take a while. but other than that, no other MMO can live up to a quarter of WoW's solid design and fun factor.
yeah i just reactivated and am making a troll druid. the new world is amazing, much more voice acting, in game cutscenes, better graphics, better quest and world design. its a whole new game. it honestly feels like a 2010 rpg title, not a late 2004 anymore.
