Normally a main reviewer will review a game, and then there will be a little window in the bottom side of the page with a "secondary opinion", so that way readers can hear two points of view instead of one. Kind of like what EGM does, but not as large.
edit: yeah, it's like I summarized them as saying, it might take a while to learn the controls, but if you give it the time you will find yourself coming back for more.
I was rather surprised to see that even though they had issues with frustrating control, they recognized other aspects of the game to be excellent and didn't knock the game down too bad for one issue.
That was actually me who typed that (that's my account over at the IGN boards), but it is a legit review. I don't have a scanner so I can't scan the mag, but trust me when I say the review is real.
But the game still looks impressive. This title is a must buy for me, even if it gets bad reviews (which I highly doubt will happen)
I'm gonna wait for reviews before I pick this up. So far i've been loving my Creative setup, though if this gets raving reviews I might have to upgrade.
Duh. Otherwise I would have left out the 360 tag.
People were truly shortsighted and ignorant to think that the framerate would be choppy at this stage of the game.
The framerate appears to be better, and the texture work looks a bit cleaned up. Very good to see.
The video is disjointed to give viewers a good idea of what multiple sections are like without having to sit through the whole thing.
These are the same ones we've been seeing since the game was announced. And these aren't even of good quality.
Makes sense, whether something is crappy or not, at least people are making up their own mind of what they want to buy.
LOL, you are really delusional. Stop giving PS3 owners a bad name.
Almost as bad as TheMart or POG
I'm REALLY excited about this game, but this low res video was rather unremarkable. Still cool to see the numerous gameplay elements, even though the guy driving the vehicles really sucked at it.
In fact, I want it to come to the PS3 so that more people can play it. But as with the MGS 4 to 360 rumors, we should treat this Bioshock topic with equal rumor control.
Nothing has been said YET by the developers, so we don't know for a fact if it is coming or not. It's possible, though, just for now it's unconfirmed.
That was ONE review, and a rather shoddy one at that considering they reviewed the non-localized Japanese version. If we all based our gaming purchases off of ONE early review, I think gaming in general would be in trouble. Not that i'll even make a firm decision off of multiple reviews because I usually end up renting games in the end to see if I like them.
bottom line: let's see what a more rounded review approach nets us.
You will now be able to understand the story and what is going on, unlike the reviewers at Eurogamer.
I wonder if this will be available to US PSN accounts on thursday, or if we'll just have to create EU accounts for the time being?
Why are you attacking him? He didn't say anything negative about the PS3 itself, just that the PS2 is a sort of double edged sword for Sony. And it's true too because there are many people who are still buying the PS2 because it's cheaper and still has lots of current game support. The PS3 can do 95% of everything the PS2 can, so why continue to make it? It's just causing people to get distracted from making the jump to the next console.
I guess rabid fanboyism knows no rationa...
It was for sales only in PAL regions, as they were directing the comments mainly to the European audience.
You haven't even played with it yet, so passing judgment like that is a bit harsh.
Personally it doesn't matter to me because they are allowing mouse and keyboard, but it's still nice to have something unique in the game to set it apart from the other versions.
Agreed, Bladestar. I think there should be some borrowing of ideas when it comes to the motion control, and like d3l33t said, having something like maps or leaderboards activated without having to press a button is nice.
Then you have people like Rhezin who only prove my point outlined above...
Actually a great issue! It shows the newest screenshots that we saw yesterday, and a lot of developer commentary and interview material.
