STOP MENTIONING CRYSIS!!!
The game is still early and they want to show off as much as possible in early stages of the game before they move on to later areas with improved texturing / graphics / rendering effects / etc.
Obviously it's early and the developers probably had things fixed up so they could demonstrate the game, but the AI still looks pretty good.
I guess they weren't kidding about there being Killzone announcements / news at GC. Very nice!
I'm still going to play this game when I get a 360 this winter.
*exits thread before the flame war starts*
Soon you will be playing Warhawk, and then you will be able to take out your 4-D-fueled rage on other people!
at least someone got it
Claiming it's offensive because you are shooting aliens in a made up storyline in a videogame.
Yeah, it's nice to know that they are trying to forge their own path in the FPS genre, without trying to compare their games to other games. They are just having fun making the best game they can make and trying to achieve their own creative vision.
And like it or not, i'm just glad that Sony is helping Guerilla out so much by providing them the financial support they need. I'm sure there's at least a few people who know that they have a potentially huge hit on their hands.
But this whole "4D, 1080p blah blah blah" BS really gets on my nerves. Just release the damn games and STFU so gamers can experience all the things you talk about!
Man, people will target ANYTHING nowadays if they can somehow apply their bleeding heart mantra to it.
This thread isn't about Crysis. It's about Killzone 2. Quit trying to start an argument when there so far has been only positivity.

Also, while I believe that this whole "4D" thing is a tangible concept, I still that that Sony shouldn't have blurted it around so much when it's going to be at least 2 years before we start seeing games that take full advantage of stuff like this.
Microsoft seriously dropped the ball with Vista.
Although, it's really obvious they are continuing the trend of alienating past versions of whatever they produce to try to stay in the forefront of consumers' wallets.
Yeah, they're just the underdog trying to boost their reputation and build a solid game franchise. It's refreshing to see that (so far) every game in the Killzone universe has improved itself, even though Killzone 2 isn't out yet.
We can already see the technological and aesthetic improvements that Guerilla has made to the series, and it will continue to get better if these previews are any indication.
Same trailer that's been on the PSN for almost a month. Friggin' sweet gameplay footage, though.
I wonder if the game running in that trailer is running at 30fps or 60?
Well, the game was also knocked by having a rather short length for a supposed showcase for Blu-Ray.
Although Game Informer did say that the game is rather difficult in some missions and that getting gold in all the missions will take longer than the predicted length.
Enjoy your stay. There are a few 360 fanboys there to keep you company. :)
People are turned off by Sony's blatantly arrogant approach in saying one thing and then delivering another. Like it or not, Sony sticks their foot in their collective mouth more than we'd like to admit.
That doesn't mean we should fault the developers of the games themselves, however. They're just trying to make the best product they can, with or without the undue pressure of the hype train.
Good to see you losers!
