I thought I read last year that Michael Ironside isn't doing the voice?
that sounded like him to me...
ah, the sentiments of a ps3 fanboy. if there's one thing you people are good at, it's being completely unoriginal.
as for the DLC. it's only a rip-off if you buy it. just boycott sh!tty DLC for any game, and companies will eventually have to change their game plan to maximize profits. and both sony and ms do it, so lets stop acting like MS is heartless and sony is heartwarming.
PS fanboys...let the disagrees fly.
The Dunia engine is one of the most impressive engines i've ever seen. Second only to Cry Engine 2. Ubisoft has always pushed the boundaries.
there was no reason to bring up killzone just as a counter example.
but, there is nothing realistic about the controls either. they have a lag, and they are covering up that lag with this bs claim of "realism."
and as far as killzone and realism go...what's realistic about a buncha steroided soldiers flying to a planet of glowy-eyed british people? and why are they using conventional weapons to fight a war on a worthless rock when they have mastered space...
i'm pretty sure bioware is in alpha stages of the new KOTOR (which will be an MMO). i had a friend who worked at EA tiburon and he got to game test it for a few weeks. he said it looked very promising
i hope it's a a game for windows live and not just a game for windows.
you aren't required to use party chat...
i still meet new ppl all the time. and screaming 12 year olds is a pain for about...10 seconds. it's 3 button presses to mute some idiot.
you're in luck. cuz i'm pretty sure it's free.
i agree with you sibs for the most part.
however, one place they really seemed to mess up was with driver compatibility.
for a while my video card had to be updated weekly. also, there are some games that i simply cannot play if my sound devices are enabled. no sound card, no usb headset, no nothing. this is simply poor programming. and while i'm sure the developers of the hardware are partly to blame, these just were non-issues with xp.
i love vista...
guess i'm the only one who's tired of seeing the same old game running on the same engine repackaged with a different number at the end of it.
COD hasn't changed since 2. and 2 wasn't very good.
then again i'm talking to a die hard console generation, and being a pc gamer, i've played FPS since wolf 3d. this mundane, ai-free, invisible wall checkpoint stuff has been done to death. and COD has done NOTHING to reinvent the wheel.
call of duty, all together, needs to go the hell away!
what kinda fruity little fanboy comment was that?
grow up.
and try to stay on topic.
@crab: i guess if there was a reward for being first, we should care. but since this is the first any of us heard there was a competition (apparently), i don't think it's anything to focus on.
one thing's for sure about this year... you can tell we're in a slump for quality gaming. infamous is all anyone is talking about. so much so that there are 60 com...
how do you butcher the word 'definitely' that badly?
i'm gonna rip your head off and sh!t down your neck
and why do ppl keep casting Ludacris in movies?
trey wtf are you talking about?
there isn't a single person in this thread saying anything bad about this game.
goldeneye would be big news. but i don't think that's gonna happen.
plus it wouldn't be smart business for rare to release both games around the same time. they pretty much have the same fanbase.
the article concludes with half life not getting the recognition it deserves. are you kidding me? almost every gamer i know considers the half life series to be the great FPS games ever made. which they are.
the only reason console games get more credit is because most websites cater to console gaming more than pc gaming. but lets be real here. there is a very clear division between console gaming and pc gaming...especially when it comes to FPS.
the reason why h...
so just to be clear. cuz i've been looking around for information about this.
this game has no co-op?
*sigh*
It's based on wants and needs. and what you're willing to pay for.
a few months ago i bought a completely garbage game for 60 dollars. i didn't buy it cuz i necessarily wanted it. but i kept reading on n4g that it's the best game ever.
now that game just sits there collecting dust and taking up space. for that same 60 dollars i could have had well over a year of xbox live and probably a few xbox live arcade games.
of course we'd l...
