This game is going to be a GIANT DISASTER!
It has been delayed sooo many times, every gameplay vid i have seen looks terrible, the yellow and black tones are ugly, every surface is covered in thousands of terrible jaggies( even more than the average console game) the gameplay looks clunky and unrefined, i hope i am totally wrong as i loved the first DE back in the day, but honestly, this looks like it will be a steaming pile.

having jaggies everywhere, horrible distorted artifacts on objects like stairs and fences is unacceptable, terrible agitated shadowing, pop-in, looooong lload times, terrible hitchy sub-30 framerates, dipping into the teens at times.
Those are all problems of current gen consoles, wii1, ps3, 360, psp, ds,
Guess what platform has none of those problems... PC!

Wii2 needs only to have all games in 1080p running at a constant 30-60 frames, never below.

yeah....i'm with you, got a ps3 and 360, wii, ds, iphone, all the goodies, but honestly, other than the 1 to 3 exclusives for each platform per year that intrest me, they all collexct dust.
The pc is my go to platform for any multiplat, for obvious reasons, but also, i love rts, mmo, turn based, sims, space 4x games, all of those are nowhere to be found on console, or are done so poorly that it is not even worth playing.

on pc maybe, it has been the golden age of gaming on pc for the last 15 years, hell i am playing diablo 2, baldurs gate 2, crysis 2, eschalon book 2, starcraft 2 and replaying the witcher all on the same machine.
Consoles, on the other hand are entering "the age of eternal milking" and the
"age of euthanasia may be nessasary, freaking die already"
i.e. charge you for a freaking wallpaper, games with day one dlc, indie titles t...
hopefully the wii2 comes out this fall, i am sick of this gen of consoles for so long, hurry up and get here.

all that matters is it is a next gen title, this one needs to quieetly moved to the backrow, games can still be made for it, hell they just released a ps2 game this month, but we need to get console games past 1024x600, 940 x540, 1280x720 at the most, we need to get to 1080p at 60 frames per second with 4x anti aliasing minimum.
It is time for a new gen!!!

you should have bought portal 2 from steam, the people who made it, and played it in true hd, instead of sub-hd, with anti aliasing and running at a sexy 60 frames per second.
and portal 2 would run on your mom's laptop like all valve games, very well coded and light on the Horsepower needed!
Also, it's $44 usd on steam with no tax instead of $65 you paid, $20 cheaper and it looks about 50x on pc!~
Your link is from the release window in december, that was a long time ago, and after the forceware 266 the cards gained over 5%, then the forceware 270 driver added another 16%, so now it does get over 60, and on my rig with sli, i never see under 60, no matter what, but i got 2 570's :)
console games right now are 720p or much, much worse, call of duty games run at 1024x600, we played quake 3 in higher resolutions than that in 1999.

heck yes, the game will be badass no matter what, i would buy it even if it was a wii game, but the article is purposefully trying to mislead people, if you can get it on pc, it will be the ultimate version, the console version will be the next best thing, I hope they make the ps3 and 360 versions both excellent.
