Who's hating on the Wii U? I like my Wii U. But I'm always excited for new hardware.
And no, it hasn't always been this way. I've followed Nintendo news for years. This is the quietest they've been since before the Wii U launch.
Maybe if this one does well, it can get a beefy sequel.

It wasn't because they were different, it was because they were comparatively shallow. While I think they're decent and fun games, they remove a big part of what makes Pokemon enjoyable. There weren't big worlds to explore with interesting cities and long twisty dungeons. You could only catch the limited number of Pokemon that the game allowed you to in certain Trainer battles, which didn't make it feel like it was your hand picked team. Pokemon Col...
While I wouldn't mind seeing a few franchises being a little more difficult, I largely agree with you. I adore the Souls games, but the elitism among the community kept me away from the franchise for a long time.
The simple solution is to have adjustable difficulty but in a natural and unobtrusive way. It can be implemented in ways that are more creative than a simple menu toggle that increases enemy HP and damage output (which can be distracting and harmful to the game&...
The writing is on the wall. Their YouTube has been slow, their Twitter has been quiet, their investors meetings have been vague. NX is coming soon.
For me, it depends on how good Recore is.
Making a game episodic compromises the game's design from the very outset. On top of that, there's little doubt it's a tactic to make money during development and ultimately get people to pay $100+ for a $60 game. Either that or get a sweet quick $15 from people who are curious but will only spend so much. I don't like it. It's just going to breed crappier games while manipulating consumers.
In my opinion, the recent GameTrailers crew were the best personalities in gaming journalism. It breaks my heart that they woke up to find they're unemployed. I hope they all find success.
The textures look nice. The character models look particularly imrpoved. I like the subtle increase in color saturation as well.
I didn't say anything to that effect. If you paid attention to any of my posts I'm quite critical of Nintendo. I'm just making fun of the fact that you always make the same post with the same links. You compulsively seek out Nintendo stories to say the same thing.
And here you are again posting the same links to the same images. Do you get money from the hits or what?
I honestly don't get what some people disagree to here. It's the weirdest community.
Anyway, yeah. I think a holiday launch is their strongest bet regardless of the year its in. Consoles make great holiday gifts.
Toro made it to PS4? How did that happen?
He was a dick to JonTron.
Imagine an in-console emulator that rips an disc image from a physical Wii disc and outputs the game at 1080p. If the specs are anywhere around PS4 and Xbox One, the system would be perfectly capable.
I don't see Wii U BC happening, though. It'd be too much to emulate therefore requiring a Wii U chipset inside driving up the cost of the hardware. On top of that, Wii U Gamepads are locked to their original console and have to be replaced through Nintendo. I don't ...
I just want folders, full external hard drive support and more PS2 games.
It's a wonderfully designed game with an incredible amount of polish and 80+ hours of content. Why shouldn't it be $40? Hell, why shouldn't it be $60? Just because it's independent? That's ridiculous.
Because they're affordable, easy to use and have a community vibe. That's really all there is to it.
It's their first app and it's not even out. I really think it's too early to make any kind of assessment on their mobile strategy.
I think they're going to be more competitive with their specs this time around. They've been running a massive amount of consumer surveys for the last two years and have already begun to distance themselves from the Wii brand in their investors meetings and press releases. On top of that, their mobile initiative and unified account system seems to express an attitude of change and modernization.
Of course, pricing will still be important to them. I don't think the...
