Are you saying Kids don't like to play straightforward video games with impressive visuals? The old ideas of "casual" and "kiddy" in the gaming space are dead. We only have to hope Nintendo understands this.
What I want to see from them is a solid device with straightforward controls and some Nintendo twists that inject more personality and fun than the competitors. I don't want it to be a PS5, but I want it to be a good gaming console. I'm sur...
Says the guy who spouted gems like Vita will crush 3DS and 7th gen would be the last console generation.
PS3 BC cannot be done. The PS4 isn't powerful enough to emulate the cell processor and it would be far too expensive for the consumer if the cell was in it. That's all there is to it. Let it go.
@S45gr32 He's saying power efficient. As in, they run the same but with a smaller electrical footprint.
@starchild You want a reason why it isn't a good idea? Optimization. Imagine you dropped $400 on a console to find out that two years down the line the new Gears will run like garbage on your rig unless you upgrade it. Then you have to spend $200 more dollars on parts you have to install yourself just so that your machine plays the game as its advertised.
Think about Hyrule Warriors Legends on 3DS. It runs absolutely horribly on 3DS, but if you have a New 3DS it runs the ...
So why did you click on the link? Just to say that?
The sun is not a ball of fire. Stars do not burn. They are releasing energy via nuclear fusion, a completely different process than combustion. Considering this, I do find the writer's tone in the sentence to be needlessly condescending.
Well don't you look silly.
Judging by the angle from the Pokemon center render, it's likely to retain the fixed camera from X and Y. The architecture of the buildings are western looking, perhaps a bit Italian? There's a lot of concept art for vehicles with drawings of Pokemon riding in them. Maybe this is indicative of an effort to make more bustling and active cities.
I'm disappointed with how little was shown knowing that the core game is essentially complete. But it's fun to specula...
You raise a good point. Some of the most elegant difficulty solutions are in basic design. For example, having the option to ignore heart containers in 3D Zeldas. Or having the ability to spend your experience on whatever you want or throw it away entirely like in Dark Souls.
To what, though?
Pyroar, Luxray, Beartic and Garchomp, son. I was briefly a genwunner, but sorry to say, some of the new ones are just too awesome to ignore.
You have to remember, gen 1 has lame designs like any other. Lickitung, Voltorb, Dugtrio, Mr. Mime and Jynx come to mind.
Why are they releasing it on Blu-ray when I have a perfectly functional DVD copy? No one wants this on Blu-ray. My DVD is good enough and everyone in the entire world has seen it already anyway. If the company is remastering an old movie for Blu-ray, it must mean they aren't making new films.
That's what most of you sound like.
If anything, PC will envelop the console market. However with current trends, I doubt even this will happen. This gen has proven that people are still very interested in console gaming and the ease of use and affordability is still unique to that market.
VR is a different kind of gaming. It's more involved, expensive and it best serves a certain kind of game that is accommodating of a first person view that doesn't demand you turn completely around too often. While V...
PS4 looks slightly better. In other news, the PS4 is slightly more powerful than Xbox One. I really don't know why people keep getting riled up about this. It's been two years. We know where these consoles stand. PS4 will always be the stronger console, but by a negligible margin for those who would rather have an Xbox One.
Awesome. Now all we need are built-in physical controls and a vast library of quality titles. Oh wait, that's not gonna happen.
I love the way the Souls games do multiplayer. No chat unless you give up a ring slot for it. Plenty of ways to emote in the game. Fighting beside silent but customized and expressive characters in an immersive world. If you really want to make a connection beyond that, you can copy their gamertag and contact them through the console's network. It's elegant.
This was only made possible with the free to play model. It's a cancer.
@The_Infected
That's not true. My 3DS was stolen last year. I replaced it and Nintendo tied my old Nintendo Network ID to the New 3DS and I was able to redownload all of my eShop purchases.
It's a patent people, calm down. Jesus. Nintendo historically patents all kinds of weird concepts they don't end up using.
