I can guarantee that this game has charisma in spades. I was worried about the looks of it too given how much I loved the grittiness and darkness of the first game. However, the screenshots just don’t do this game justice. These guys have quite literally found the fricken sweet spot. Playing this game is a revelation compared to the first. Just make sure you play on nightmare since you have played the first game.

I just want to add that MGS5's open world is as good if not better than BOTW...and I love BOTW btw. In my opinion they both encapsulate what's possible when a ton of systems work seamlessly to create a truly innovative open world. Super mario 3D land is utterly brilliant. A truly perfect and innovative portable mario game. I five shiny starred that game and I loved every second of it. I think I did it twice actually. Fricken amazing.
Also, I haven't beaten Galaxy 2 yet, but I am looking forward to experiencing how good it can be in the post game. Working my way through now, and the earlier levels have seemed pretty tame.

You can't always make winners. Sometimes you have to make the huge mistake of releasing a not-so-great title into a way oversaturated market with much better options in order to come back and make something AMAZING later on. Cliffy B's huge ego definitely is taking a hit here, and hopefully it will humble him enough that he is able to go back to his roots and return later on with something truly spectacular.

I disagree, FFXV was a ton of fun, and its story was well done until they chose to skip right to the end (I still can't believe they didn't delay it or something, one of the best examples of poor writing). The evil within one, in my opinion, has a great claustrophobic dark grittiness feel to it that I love! It's story (believe it or not) is a little more consistent than the evil within 2 as well, although it may be a little harder to uncover.
