xbox gaming division (or whatever the hell its called) has actually been profitable for a year straight i believe
im 99% sure of this, but dont quote me
im seriously missing the days of crash bandicoot on PS1 (notice how i said PS1-the new ones suck! i don't own a ps3 so i wouldn't have played new ones anyway, but why did Naughty Dog/ Sony sell that?)
but you know what other type of game im missing? kart racing-sure Mario Kart is okay, but i would definitely buy another Crash Team Racing with no changes except to bring it to the systems-i'm really not a fan of real racing games...
while i agree with you somewhat nos4speed, it's reasonable for more younger gamers to own a 360-it's much cheaper, there is more games that cater to an average teenager's taste, their friends probably have a 360 and live, and they don't need the blu-ray capabilities since they probably just have an average tv in their room
so you have a fair argument at least
but my real problem is with "33pct fail rate"
i seriously doubt you're an adult (and i...
whenever i click the link and see it's a gameplayer article, i just close it because i know it'll be too slow
but maybe it's a browser thing-are you using safari?
the ps3 came into this when i looked at his comment history and he made comments like "teh 360 fails. teh ps3 roxorz" (not kidding-it's something really close to that)
but as for Resistance-don't fool yourself-the sequel looks nice but did you honestly think the first one was on par with Halo? but thanks for correcting me on the sales so that i can now say Resistance only sold what-2-3 million?
and plus, i asked what franchise spawned books and figures, and...
while you are correct, those games were only made in Japan, right? GH and RB have music for North America and Europe (somewhat)
if Konami had released their games overseas, then you could call these devs copy-cats. but they didn't, so don't blame them for taking a good idea, making it better, and selling it mainstream (and anyways, i'm sure Konami is regretting not releasing GF and DM in America-hasn't GH3 alone made Activision a half billion?)
first of all, it's funny how you tell hooby that he has a bad taste in music, but then go on to say you can have opinions-can't he?
but i rarely use periods in my comments-hyphens work well for me-but i don't see how you can criticize my grammar when you wrote a list and made it a sentence... sorry pal, but lists aren't sentences-now i don't think i even learned that, because most teachers probably just hoped their kids were smart enough to already know that, but if i did learn t...
contradicting yourself much?
but while i agree with you, you're really only referring to sports games, and while those games SHOULD improve annually, you can't change everything each year (fans would be confused, the games would cost a lot more to develop, and if it got delayed because they had to change things, the publisher would not be happy to release a sports game in the middle of that sport's season)
that downloadable games are still expensive to make
and since they're a new company with just a couple puzzle games out (this is what an above commenter said), then i would think they would need some help publishing
just think of Jonathan Blow, the Braid developer: he has to sell a load of copies at a higher price to break even on his investment, but he couldn't have gotten his great game if he hadn'tfound a publisher
buy the Rock Band 2 bundle when it comes out
then when GH4 comes out, buy the guitar bundle (i'm not positive this bundle exists but i think i saw something about a guitar-only bundle)
this way you have both games (200 songs), a mic, drums, and two different guitars (so you can pick your favorite)
it was confirmed that instruments ARE cross-compatible for some odd but awesome reason (even though the drums look different, they worked around this)
...
you guys are a little bit off
Harmonix had a contract with RedOctane to develop three guitar hero games
after the successes of 1 and 2, Activison was about to acquire RedOctane and Harmonix was going to MTV Games-since Harmonix was still under contract, they quickly shambled together Rock the 80's
as much as i dislike Activision (not their games, just their policies-did they really look at Vivendi's promising games like Brutal Legend and Ghostbusters and...
i seriously laughed at your comment because i agree with it completely
while i guess everyone is allowed to have an opinion (even if it's wrong), he did select the worst bands on that list
it's a shame that the music people listen to these days is so terrible-it's a bigger shame that neversoft and harmonix have to out this 'mainstream' crap into their games just to assure some sales (not saying its the devs faults though-the blame here definitely goes to the dumbasse...
killzone 2 probably will get a 6/10
there's always some flops-haze and probably too human come to mind for right now-but killzone 2...an expensive flop
while i don't own a PSP, that's what i expected the article/list to be about
instead, it was just "this franchise that franchise that mediocre franchise nom nom nom!
terrible article...
give me an exclusive FPS to the ps3 that betters halo in anyway
but anyways, you clearly didn't even click the link-the whole point was that some ebayer painted a Halo figure (that's another thing-what ps3 games are so big that they have books and figures? please answer that one) to looks like Samus-
and i'm sure 9 million people have bought halo 3 because he looks like Samus, huh? don't be such a naive prick and think you're funny with your dumbass comments
but even if the contributor knew, which i would think he didn't, this story is easy flame bait and a quick 500º to go towards contributor of the month!
worst argument i've ever had the misfortune to read
"i saw your mom at nazi camp"
really? you have now just showed your true age of 14-expect even less respect then you already receive, even though that number is already abysmally low (although it does correctly reflect your maturity and username)
also: you admit you were at a Nazi camp just to make a pitiful 'mom' joke? here's a better one for you: your mom should have swallowed you, you wort...
the RB2 bundle is more expensive because of some minor improvements, but mainly due to the instruments now being wireless (which adds $10 to each)
but the ION drum kit is completely different from the Rock Band one-it's really just a cool looking electronic set that is compatible with Rock Band, with the option to add cymbals to help you in RB, or to actually play the (electronic) drums-i believe the price was hovering close to $400 last time i checked

your last comment/attempt at a comeback just shows your inability to think of a good rebuttal
the real person who needs to try again is you (and lucky for you, as of my comment, you still have 10 minutes to edit!!!)
the truth is that Halo is a great game with a large online community that people love to play, especially with guests (why CoD4 doesn't have guesting is beyond me)
it just shows that no matter how many good games come out, the best (Halo, CoD...
the instrument compatibility issue was already announced at E3 when Neversoft (or was it Harmnoix?) announced their instruments would work in their competitor's game.
http://www.gamespot.com/new...
this just doesn't include the Rock Revolution compatibility details...but i don't think many people will buy that game anyways
so anyways, it's ridiculous for Sony to come out and think they'...
