edit: i think i just remembered what i had read-i think i read that the 360 version nearly outsold both playstation version combined, but its sales combined with the original xbox's sales did outsell both playstations (surprising since few still play the xbox)

i wouldn't buy a re-make of a ten year old game, just like i wouldn't buy a ticket to a movie that was just a re-make from a decade old original
and since most FF7 fans want the game to stay exactly the same, then i definitely wouldn't buy it, since it's just the same thing except with better graphics...
if the game was 25 to 50 years old, as most film re-makes should be, it may be ok. but...

i know you don't like the 360 and you're trying to make a possibly convenient feature seem poor, you should realize there are times when you can't always have people over to watch a movie with you on the couch...
while company is always great, what if you're in a different state, country, or continent from them? are you going to buy an airplane ticket just to watch a movie with them together instead of "partying up" and just talking during the movie?
