I know many above have already said it, but this isn't a "videogame songs" list, this is a "videogame soundtrack" list. there's a huge difference.
But with that, the list itself is...repetitive. Have billboard readers and writers only played Tony Hawk, GTA, and GH3? very limited list...
The biggest surprise to me, however, was that the list opened at #1, and I was just expecting to see "Halo Theme" (not saying it is the best gaming song...

but seriously, this is very sad. Konami invented the music game genre. there's tons of GuitarFreaks and Drum(Freaks?) over in Japan. but they were too late to the American music game scene. Guitar Hero and Rock Band simply own the genre here.

i thought of this as well, but whoever found any info on this (possibly fake) skull found it by scanning code of the game. the mythic maps code isn't out yet, so while i agree with you, it's probably not one of the mythic maps skulls for this reason

in the summer alone, i bought Braid, Geometry Wars 2, and Castle Crashers, and re-played through N+, Marble Blast Ultra, and Assault Heroes. all are great games, and i didn't even buy Bionic Commando Rearmed or Duke Nukem, and more great games like Portal are still coming in the next few weeks

PSN has less games, but they're usually deep with good graphics and exclusive to PSN
XBLA has hundreds of games. now not all are amazing (although some are, like Braid, the Geometry Wars, Castle Crashers,(i imagine) Portal, and so many more) but if you can research a game a little bit beforehand and decide if it's good, then you will be rewarde...
