Probably just adding back-end stuff for DLC.
I'm actually rather pleased with this patch.
The performance has been improved by a good amount (gameplay is definitely smoother) and image quality is better. The water no longer looks terrible (Medium quality looks better than Very High) and the car models look better.
It's no miracle patch, but it's a start.
Are the console graphics really this bad?
I played the PC version and I thought the graphics were pretty great.
'Sites'?
r u srs.
You would know if you read the little story box up there.
1) Put DVD in drive
2) Follow instructions
Who cares about stats?
It's not Mario Kart, but Zero Gear looks awesome.

It's a kart racing game similar to Mario Kart. It's not a mod like Mario Kart: Source is, though--it's a full-on retail product.
"The superbar does share one of the Dock's major shortcomings as an application launcher—it's not immediately apparent how to launch a new window of an app from the taskbar."
Just middle-click (mouse3) on the icon.
Ford didn't invent cars. :/
I don't know... if anything, Shacknews is pro-PC. They are an all-platforms site, but they definitely still have the PC as their platform of choice.
Back on topic, the free America's Army for the PC is a GREAT game. One of the best free games out there. The console version, on the other hand, is crap.
I'm looking forward to America's Army 3. I had a lot of fun with the series.
I expected nothing less of them. Relic is one of the most respected studios in the industry.
Reviews? The game's not even out yet.
Also, the game is being developed by SimBin, creators of some of the most realistic racing games out there.
We've seen this E 74 error happen even before the Xbox 360 was released. It happened at some press event.
You can still buy the PC version.
And in the future, always buy the PC version of Valve games.
I want that demo.
StarCraft II in 2009!
The Crysis screens are old as well. The second one is from multiplayer with what looks like medium settings and the third one is a tech demo scene.
The solution is right in the article: more memory bandwidth.
The Core i7 has massive amounts of it since the memory controller is now integrated into the chip (something AMD's been doing for awhile) instead of being external in the north bridge. Couple that with triple-channel DDR3 and you have lots of bandwidth.
I'm sure engineers will be able to find solutions to bandwidth problems once we get to large numbers of cores.
The textures on the PC version are a lot better, but the overall visuals are close. The gameplay is better on the PC (controls with the PS3 controller felt weird), but in my opinion it doesn't match with the gameplay of the original's. The first F.E.A.R. was very good, but F.E.A.R. 2 seems like it might disappoint.
