Reviewing a game while having only played the single-player and barely any multiplayer is just bad practice. It's like playing halfway through an RPG and then reviewing it.
Get off N4G and do your homework.
I'd rather have a server browser than matchmaking.
Dude, 2012 is where it's at.
Yes
True DX10 game? What's that supposed to mean?
Anyway, Far Cry 2 has the best implementation of DX10 I've seen so far. With DX10 enabled, there's a large performance boost and a slight improvement in image quality, though some shadow filtering looks a little finnicky at a distance.
You don't have to upgrade.
My 8800 GTS for 2 years back still runs the latest games at high settings.
It runs Dawn of War II beautifully maxed out. I get 30 to 60 FPS at 1680x1050.
The beta went on for a couple months but it ended not too long ago. It's going to start up again soon, though.
It's a pretty good game. They just need to add more depth to the gameplay. I doubt they're going to make it too complex, though, as the game is targeted towards casuals.
Battlefield: Heroes is run as a 3D application inside your web browser.
That's for the PC version.
Plus they tweaked the color correction a bit.
Brought it alive? lol.
The "BitTorrent" client is basically a rebadged uTorrent. I prefer uTorrent since it has more community support and isn't tied to major network corporations.
Crysis: Warhead runs in 32-bit mode at the moment in 64-bit operating systems. With this patch, it'll be able to run in 64-bit mode, thus being able to utilize more RAM.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be Dreamcast-exclusive.
UT3 actually sold two million copies worldwide on the PC, I believe. It's unfortunate that the game is such utter crap, though. Very, very few people play it online. There are only a couple hundred people playing it online right now with a peak of a couple thousand, and that is pathetic. Epic royally screwed up on this game, and look no further for proof than the fact that there are many times more people who play UT2004. Hell, there are even more online players of the original Unreal Tournam...
We can't just let technology stagnate. We have to constantly evolve in order to continue to advance. Plus, they're not forcing you to buy these cards. Those with the money will be able to buy these cards and play their games at 2560x1600 with max settings while those without much money will be able to use a more modest card like a $150 HD 4850 to play games with high settings at 1920x1200.
The patch is PC-only.
Windows 7 beta 1 is using debug code, so the retail version will definitely be faster.
He's a game guides writer, not an editor.
