RTS games are great, but EndWar is not a great RTS game.
Building a computer is easy. Your motherboard's manual comes with detailed step-by-step instructions on every process required to build it.
@Ziriux
Yeah, and Nintendo only has Wii Sports and Microsoft only Halo 3, right?
It might be better than the console versions, but it's still a bad game.
Left 4 Dead has co-op split-screen on the PC. It works very well, too.
a_squirrel, if you full-screen a YouTube HD video, the resolution being rendered is 1280x720, which is 720p. View the properties of the .mp4 if you don't believe me.
A site like WeGame would be a better representation of the graphics quality as the video quality is much better, but yeah, YouTube HD is 720p.
The difference is that the game was being played at this resolution (downsampled to 2560x1600, but still technically being rendered at 6400x4000). Single-digit frame rates, but the game is being played.
These kinds of games have never been that popular on the PC. Some games have had moderate success such as Devil May Cry 4, and some huge success such as Rakion, but for the most part, not that popular.
I lol'd at the Ryu Goku.
With the way Activision is right now, expect a huge amount of map packs which might even sell for $15. They want your money, and it seems like many people are willing to give it to them.
Since when is RTS a small genre? It's one of the major genres out there. Ever heard of Blizzard? Their RTS games still get millions of players a day.
@Willio,
Valve/Turtle Rock created a zombie gamemode for Counter-Strike themselves (Terrorists versus zombie CTs) in like 2004/2005. They played it frequently and thought it was a lot of fun, which is how they got the inspiration to make Left 4 Dead.
I'm quite impressed at how well EA is supporting this game.
Longest patch ever.
I love GoGamer's deals. Probably as much as Steam's since the prices are so low and they have lots of games on sale each week.
AWESOME.
MT Framework is actually a totally multi-platform engine. No platform takes priority.
?
Maybe you're thinking of DiRT 2, Alien vs. Predator, or Battleforge.
It's not strange. DX10 is better optimized than DX9. Fewer operations are required to perform the same tasks. Far Cry 2 ran better in DX10, too.
Prince of Persia is $8, free shipping.
For those who missed out on the GoGamer deal.
