We'd probably be screwed on DLC anyway since the song licenses are left to expire or are already expired.
On the idea of a new a Rock Band: 100% I'd buy it.
A lot of that is the event itself. Evo put some effort in to cull the negativity of its community. It wasn't that long ago that MvC2 had a negative reputation attached to it. The gambling that was attached to the game built the hype up so high that post-game violence wasn't a stretch. People throwing threats at each other and getting banned from the event and shit.
Fighting game communities have grown up compared to FPS communities I think.
I'm definitely getting it on Vita, although I feel in my gut that it will be cross buy. Profit. (hopefully)
Tell 'em, Jeff.
That whole debacle was just a mess for everyone.
FTL: a lot of users post comments on here from work. No need in being foolish.
That may be the case, but ask yourself those same questions in regards to 3DS. They aren't just cutting Vita support.
I KNOW you're not talking smack on roster updates.
When I charge you $60 for a roster update, you'll take and like it.
I guess when you have a hard time milking Battlefield, The Sims, Need For Speed, and ______ xx (where ______ is a sport or league of your choosing and xx is either the current or next calendar year) on handhelds, then surely, no other ideas could ever work, right?
It's almost like EA strives to be so bad. Maybe they're really just trolling all of us. Maybe their board meetings consist of them reading comments from sites like this and everyone laughing.
I say a little prayer every now and then for a next gen skate game.
I was a PC gamer for a long time, but the first time I played skate I was 100% into the (then) new generation of consoles. It was something new, inspiring, incredibly fun, and completely unavailable on PC. To this day, the skate series is my favorite of that entire console generation.
You're in luck my friend. :)

3DS and Vita are both pretty strong in the indie department. I don't have a 3DS yet, but my Vita has had a lot of great indie experiences.
OlliOlli, Spelunky, Guacamelee, Hotline Miami, LUFTRAUSERS, Sound Shapes, Limbo, and more.
I've just downloaded Mutant Mudds from PS Plus, and I'm sure I'll start that real soon. (Currently hooked on Terraria)
I've switched from an awful 32" LED panel to a 23" IPS-LED monitor and do not regret it.
The blacks are waaaaayy deeper. The colors are more accurate. The viewing angles are matched. The monitor is 1080p and the TV was only 720p. The GTG response are the same. The input lag is smaller.
Basically, it was an upgrade on almost every way (except size, of course)
Advertised response times are usually true, but they represent gray-to-gray and not input lag. The time represents how fast a pixel can cycle color from gray back to gray.
Input lag is something different. It's not advertised, and it's not easy for a consumer to measure.
Displaylag is a decent site to explain it. They're also building a database of displays based on input lag. Important to note that it appears partly PC biased because traditional ...
Yeah there's certainly a few years left. When the price point hasn't hit that final $100-120 mark then there's still a ways to go.
Also, existing trends in Japan mean that support from there is not even close to finished.
Holy crap, people.
Most of you guys are familiar enough with each other to know who has which opinions about what. You guys even refer to each other by handles yet you insist on harshly point/counterpointing each other.
Why can't there be civility? We don't need to have chips on our shoulders and our guards up all the time.
Too many headstrong consumers insecure about their purchase(s), and not enough friendly networking between gamer...
A title by the late Bungie West actually released on PS2 (ported by Rockstar) before the Xbox was available.
And even if you didn't like Oni, then they still had a killer series going on PC before Xbox existed: Myth.
Bungie existed before Xbox was invented...
It was very refreshing, indeed.
The alpha was just the exposure that I needed. I wasn't excited for the game, and I had no interest in doing a pre-order. Truthfully, I didn't really have an opinion formed on the game. Then I got that alpha and now the game is at the very top of my most wanted list.
I can agree with you on most of your points. Most importantly, the part about gamers being customers. If every gamer out there were an educated customer, then most issues with game publishers would be solved.
However, cynicism should not replace criticism. Critical comments can lead to critical thinking. Cynical comments may lead to critical thinking, but they will probably fall short into apathy instead.
Did they stop teaching on this or something? Any decent teacher with knowledge of grammar will tell you to NEVER say "in my opinion," "I think," "I believe," etc. It's the job of the reader to make the assumption on the writer's stance.
Titan with scout rifle is my favorite so far. I wish his grenades were better though.
