Listing having to pay for Xbox Live on the PC version for online play on FH3 as a negative in the review is NOT SUBJECTIVE, it is a flat out lie. You didn't view the memo in the review?
The score is wrong. Mercury news has a four stars rating system. It is 2.5 /4 and not 2.5/5.

At the end of the day, the truth is this is a great game and the Meta scores reflected that. It is currently the third best scoring console exclusive this year behind Uncharted 4 and Forza Horizon 3 so as much as some try to downplay, evidence suggests otherwise.
Gamers that can play it will have the opportunity to see for themselves, that is what matter in the end.
You know how it is. Same way many 6 and 5 No Man Sky reviews were sitting on pending while the few 9s got all the love. That is how it is on this site.
But nevertheless, Gears scores great. Can't wait to play mine.
9.2 incoming from IGN
It would be nice if you could read the article before making a fool out of yourself. The PS4 Bethesda games have no external mods support so you wouldn't be able to download any new user created content like a new a armor, weapon, changing the appearance and placement of NPC or changing the landscape with new textures, etc. It is pretty much limited to what assests are already in the game. Want a Batman Battle armor in Fallout 4? Not possible on PS4 but are there for PC and Xbox players. ...
Yes, an Indie tablet top view racer is also 4K on the PS4 Pro but does that mean it can play COD or Uncharted 4 at native 4K? Of course not. That is like playing a remaster PS One game on the current PS4 at 4K (which I have no doubt it will be able to do) and called it a 4K console. That is not how it works.
Razrye2,
You need to know more about mods as those things I'd mentioned are customized by gamers as external mods. Want a Iron-Man or Batman battle armor, you'll need external mods support. https://youtu.be/7xs9u9B829...
Well, it has no external mods support from third party, which made up over 80% of the mods on Xbox One, so things like new armors, weapons, weather systems, changing the look of landscape, new areas, cosmetic modification of NPC, custom radio stations are not available in the PS4 version.
So if console gamers cherish mods over resolution, the Xbox One is the only choice for them. It depends what your preference is.
Come on pal, Skyrim is a 5 year old last gen port. I ran it at 1080p, locked 30fps with almost all the effects turned on my 4 year old Macbook for Christ sake.
" I used mods to add more children and elderly to make the game more realistic etc"
Unfortunately, these kinds of mods, placing NPC, costmetic, are external mods by third party and will not be on the PS4 version. It is readily available for Xbox gamers so it is a shame that there is no external mods support for PS4 gamers that want them.
Maybe he and others were expecting the same type of mods support as the Xbox One version. Xbox gamers get external mods support created by others like new armors, weapons, weather systems, new areas of new assets which is about 80% of the mods that are missing in the PS version.
The current Skyrim mods support for PS4 is no more than a game shark cheat code with things like increasing health and inventory slots. That is not really true mods to most gamers that understand mo...
How is it Betheada fault when Sony wouldn't allowed external mods support in the first Place? Seems like Bethesda wanted to include the same mods support as Xbox like giving exteranal mods support to their PS4 players and Sony said no in the beginning. This looks more like Sony is saying "take it or leave it" and Bethesda took it as it is their only option to allow mods support to their PS audience in PS4.
It is only half baked for mod support as you will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but only will be able to use any assets that come with the game. I guess that is the restriction Sony demanded if Bethesda is going to have mods in their system.
So no new armors, weapons, weather systems, new areas of new assets and about 80% of the mods missing that are in the other console. That's pretty disappointing. Better than nothing, but disappo...
Can't wait to play it tonight!
