Yeah...and GTA IV with mods looks better than GTA V. Point being?
Recommend AcornFilms. Very few reviews, but the guy is amazing. Check one of his out if you haven't before.
This deal is legit. My store just got them in last week...not a bad deal, five good games and a PS3 for that price.
Whoa...the store started selling it today?? They can easily get sued by Ubisoft for breaking that street date. Hope it doesn't happen since independent game shops are becoming rarer and rarer...but why even risk it if you're a small business owner?
Rest assured that employee who put SSX out early was promptly fired. Companies that break street dates can easily be sued by the publisher/production companies of movies and games. Used to work new releases for an electronics store, and I would always Google the street date on my phone and NEVER only rely on the company's computer inventory system.
As much as I hate Alex Rodriguez (as a Ranger fan), he is still "A-Rod". As great as Aaron Rodgers is, we gotta come up with a different nickname for him...he does deserve his own. He shouldn't have to share with that doucher Yankee.
Interesting perspective. I've literally never heard someone dog on Rockstar for going towards realism instead of "fun" in GTA IV.
Totally agree GTA IV was a HUGE setback from San Andreas, though...it truly was a disgrace to video games.
/sigh
Definitely not this gen, but I certainly wouldn't count it out for next-gen. Why would Rockstar not want to come out with another title they know will sell millions? I'd almost guarantee they have something in development, even if it is only drawing board-type stuff.
Would be curious where they might take the series if they continue with the Marston family...considering the first one sorta ends with the "death" of the Wild West. Decisions, Rockstar, decis...
That's a hell of a story.
Or like the PS3 Slim? PS2 Slim? PSONE? PSPGo?
Let's be honest, Sony is far more guilty of this than Microsoft. It's not a bad thing either, it does generally give the consumer something they like and it also generates sales where there might not have been any if they didn't "revitalize" the given system.
I am curious what they're going to do with the Vita...
"8 is the new 4/10"
This is sad, but true.
Granted most modern day games have very big budgets, and we are seeing more and more AAA titles released every year, which may account for the "replacement" of the "1-10" grading system to the dreaded "8-10". It does seem like a shame considering a "B" should be considered a good score for anything, but when there's one "F" for every five "A"...
@PhantomTommy
It did have more glitches and game-breaking bugs than Fallout 3 did, I'll give you that. But in terms of game-balance - I thought the Obsidian team did a lot better job of not letting the character get too overpowered...like Bethesda did with Fallout 3. Obsidian really made the SPECIAL system count in New Vegas (whereas there was a perk in a FO3 DLC that just ramped up all your SPECIAL attributes to like 8+...ridiculous) which is really what made the origi...
Please, please, please add a non-explosive option for all Hardcore matches! I only play Hardcore Search & Destroy when it comes to COD and explosives are almost like a game-breaking imbalance. At least they prevented people from spawn-tubing like they did in MW2...that was a step in the right direction.
Another good mode change would be a 2-3 second explosives delay between S&D matches because of all the team killing that goes on at the beginning of matches.
I see all these articles and comments bashing the character of Niko in GTA IV. Am I the only one who genuinely liked Niko?
I feel like he was a great successor in the line of interesting and three-dimensional GTA main characters. I enjoyed the idea of a foreigner's view (especially one from an impoverished, war-torn country) of a major city in the GTA universe. Seeing a Bosnian-esque war veteran dealing with fake thugs, muscle heads, drug addicts, and one inflated eg...
Yeah...it's a bit, man.
If you've heard him outside of these videos, then you know that his whole "get on your knees and praise me" persona is exclusively for his Jimquisition videos (due to he's usually making a very good point about something relevant to the modern video game industry).
If you hate him because he gave some game or another a low score, I really suggest you check out some of his Jimquisition videos, you'll walk aw...
@buddymagoo
DC maybe? Would love to see a Washington DC setting in the GTA universe.
Former Dallas Police commissioner?
Or because they're a Japanese-based developer and would therefore obviously prefer the Playstation platform. Although, I'm sure Catherine has sold more on PS3 in the States...would like to see the numbers actually.
The thing about asking for more gameplay like RE5 is that there are a thousand games that are online co-op run-and-guns. That's not what Resident Evil is/was about. Capcom just changed it to that style because they knew it would sell (much to the chagrin of fans of 1-3).
What needs to happen to the series next? Lots. But I think most real fans will agree that simply ANY change to make it somewhat like 1-3 would be a step forward. Just please Capcom: not another ste...
@Lordani
I'll take a consistent frame rate and great draw distance over amazing graphics whilst lacking in the aforementioned areas any day. Fallout 3 did a damn good job when it came to that, and I think we can expect the same from 4.
