Games are region free..... even at that hows that gonna prevent ripping a game from a disc?
But thats still 30% that might be more tempted to use this if they are not using the online features. I'm also certain there would be people out there who would be more than happy to give up Psn for free games, I wouldn't personally but I know people that would.

the win is you can rip the update part of the game out, so you dont need to ever to update your firmware to play games. That would be a huge win for people who don't ever take their ps3 online

anyway OT: the game is meh IMO, tried all three of the demos to try and like it but just couldnt. fed up of open world tps, especially when other games do it better
I have to agree with you. Though the game of cat and mouse is about to begin with Sony constantly updating to block this "exploit" and the hackers constantly trying to remain a step ahead.

you can't download games yet, just back them up from a disc

But even thats bad enough. I mean I can't believe the rampant use of the Disagree button in this thread. 1st off, this is a hack, that lets you play Ripped games from an external drive so when people say the ps3 isn't hacked then they are only kidding themselves.

Sony has loads and i mean loads of beta testers, what makes you think they will just give people in plus betas before them? don't forget other paid services offered betas as part of their campaign to get subscribers and also failed to deliver.
Why is it stupid? Whats stupid is assuming you would get the beta for a new gamemode in MAG, without even owning the game.
Also why would you want to try it if you were in 3 betas and not even buy the game?
