your statement is way off, an 8800 gtx came out when the ps3 did, it will utterly DECIMATE the ps3 and 360, it can still play games in higher resolutions with way more anti aliasing and better framerates than either "hd" console (which are not hd)

arguing over ps3 vs 360 is like arguing over vhs vs beta, who cares, they're 7-8 years old.
they both look outdated, lag like crazy with mostly peer to peer servers, have terrible framerates, tons of jaggies, pop-in, screen tear and that annoying day one dlc

crysis 2 and the remake were awful on console, sub-hd, jaggies, screen tear, pop-in up the wazzooo, terrible framerate

uncharted 3 was fun for a while, but it was a shadow of part 2

i would have like uncharted 3's graphics for a console game, had i not seen uncharted 2 first, which looked better in every imaginable way.
i was saddened by the inclusion of 3d making uncharted 3 a downgrade to part 2

this looks like ass, literally last gen, then again, the last console game i played was uncharted 3, which looked bad compared to uncharted 2, but not this bad.

why change the engine, it's mainly a console game and runs at a lowly 1024x600 with jaggies, a better, higher quality engine would just mean the devs would need to make it even more sub-hd or make it run like crap.
it looks great on pc, but hardly anyone on pc cares because they have games like bf3 dx11 that make uncharted 3, god of war 3 and killzone 3 look last gen.
much, MUCH better on pc, but nice that they were able to port it to 360, it looks bloody awful, but the awesome gameplay is still intact.

resistance 3 is the worst looking of all to me, horribly sub hd (it is actually 976x540p) covered in awful jaggies, the framerate sucks and the textures are muddy and terrible, i think part 2, looks and controls the best, but thats me
i think part 1 is the best game of the series by far and has the best story and multiplayer.
