Halo is the only reason the 360 exists. Think about it, the xbox and gamecube got totally annihilated by the PS2. However the shining light for the xbox was that Halo had achieved a god like following like they never expected. It probably heavily influenced the decision to go ahead with the 360.
Who you think Halo 3 was aimed at? It was made for the xbox fans of Halo:CE/2, an obvious and clear way for xbox owners to transition themselves over to the 360. Trust me if MS stoppe...
The size of the continent means nothing. Europe's population is over 700,000,000 whilst USA is 300,000,000.
Statistically Japan has the highest sell rate per person. For such a small country Japan numbers alone cancel out 360's US NPD lead each month, then you just add the fact that PS3 sells more in Europe and voilà, you dont have to be a genius to know this, just take the goggles off.

It could be a longshot but the leaked achievements showed evil ryu and shin akuma as boss characters for arcade mode. Either way I dont care, shoto's are free BP online. Im only a bit disappointed there's no news on any other characters.

You make a good point but I still believe that you should be responsible for knowing this would happen before you buy anything.
When I bought my PS3, at the checkout the guy specifically said to me that the PS3 is under warranty from sony for a year and I have to keep my receipt to claim on it. I acknowledged this and bought it. If after warranty the PS3 breaks down I fail to see why sony should fix it for free.

Sony have us covered a million times over. The point is MS are doing this with nothing on the horizon for actual games.
Electronic products break. That's just how it is. When you bought it you knew it had a one year warranty, if you cant accept that then you shouldn't of bothered with it.
Yeah it sucks when anything breaks but think of how many hours of enjoyment the PS3 has given you in the course of 3 years. surely forking out £250 for another 3 years of entertainment cant be too bad.

The argument against it has always been that MS lied about what it was capable of in terms of offering for the hardcore audience.
Many people said that it could only do casual and now that's its here it hasn't proven anybody wrong....
No sorry, Yes move is primarily aimed at casuals but sony has not made that their main focus. They have not put all their hopes on Kinect at the expense of Hardcore games.
Any of the Move shovelware shit that comes out, I dont have to buy and I still will have plenty of Hardcore games to use move with, plus all the other regular core games.

At least match 360 one year in, to PS3 one year in....Uncharted:DF from 2007 is still unbeaten by any 360 exclusive.

The game is still by far the best in its genre. If you dont like it its probably not meant for you in the first place.
BS, Heavy Rain was never expected to do anything, Sony already acknowledged that it would probably sell like crap but they were happy to back Quantic dream for taking a risk and trying something new.
In the end the game overall reviewed amazingly and sold wayyy above expectation. How in the hell it can be considered a dissapointed is beyond me. Probably one of the best single player experiences of 2010
But the difference is, no PS3 owner is acting like the headstart never happened.
The main point is that the Move which was supposed to be a "flop" and "forgotten once kinect launches" has sold amazingly considering the low impact advertising campaign.
Then MS should do something about that, I thought they had a bottomless pit of money?
