It's just easy money in the bank, really. Outsource old games to a cheap dev to bump up the res, FPS and textures, and it's gold.
Besides, a company isn't going to stop making new games just because old ones are easy cash. If anything they're good cushioning should newer IPs not do as well.
Dude, if Battlefield 3 is anything like Battlefield 2, the helis aren't going to be anywhere near as OP as Bad Company 2. Especially since helis in older Battlefields required you to return to the helipad frequently for rearms.

Yea, I'm beginning to think it's Jobe's game as well. I can't think of any other games they'd show to a crowd of mostly western viewers, aside from Syphon Filter.
Honestly, it only has framerate issues during that portion of the game. It gets alot better along the way.
