I wouldn't exactly call Quantic Dream an amazing storyteller
Aside from them being action RPGs, there is really nothing comparable between the two honestly
enjoy both
I honestly don't even care simply because I know how completely unforgiving the CS experience can be, so it's nice that newer players can be eased in.
Coop would work infinitely better in a game like Dino Crisis honestly, especially if they allow you to walk and shoot

there's only one weapon in the energy weapons class that can be jury rigged and that's the holorifle...and explosives can't be repaired with other explosives
other than that jury rigging covers most of the weapons in the game
