Eh... I still prefer KOTOR over Mass Effect.
If they're not all barren wastelands and actually have some depth to them that makes them worth exploring (and that does NOT include random arbitrary collectible minerals or some crap like that), then I'll share your enthusiasm.
One of them is Super Smash Wii Sports Resort Extreme Plus!
The other is the Metroid Prime Trilogy.
WHEN IT HAPPENS, YOU BET YOUR ASS I WILL BE THERE TO HAVE SAID I F*CKIN' CALLED IT
"N4G. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." - Old Klingon Proverb
N4G is (arguably) a place that attracts a mostly hardcore audience. The Wii attracts casual consumers. Their kind don't hang out here. Therefore, you never see them complain about accessories.
But they do. Oh boy, they do.
300% yes!
...wait.
...should I?
If you completely cut off a crack addict's supply of crack, he suffers from withdrawls, goes insane, and causes harm to others. The same thing applies here. Parents should not underestimate the power of addiction, especially if it's in a situation where the addiction is the only thing providing sustenance and sanity to its abuser.
Many people rely on their addictions to give their life reason, or to escape from their pain. They drink, do drugs, play games, gamble, or shop excessi...
I see a lot of potential for innovation here too, but I also see a lot of potential for stagnancy. Who knows if Bungie decides to reinvent the wheel this time? We'll just have to wait and see.
It was difficult for me to read past two inches into the article without noticing all the glaring grammar fail.
Not to mention, the author doesn't even make a very good point.
*roll eyes* People these days...
Hm. They all look fine to me.
Edit: LOL "May 18, 6:24 PM" good game. This news is old by at least 5 hours.
Oh God I'm gonna buy a DS right now. GSC were the best Pokemon games in existence.
BioWare's wanted to do an MMO for years and years. Now that they have the publishing power of EA, they can actually try and do what they've always wanted to do.
EA has been embracing riskier, more artistic endeavors lately (see: Mirror's Edge, Dead Space), so it's far too early to assume that this is just a cash-in on KOTOR's success. Of course, it's big business, so obviously there's gonna be something in it for EA, and obviously they see opportunity where there's plenty. Financ...
It takes place a few centuries after KOTOR 2. Thus, obviously, it won't feature the same characters unless they live to be that old.
Most likely though, they did that on purpose just so they CAN release KOTOR 3 and continue the story of Revan or the Exile later.
The article author needs to work on his grammar, and also how he explains things... -.-
The reason why they don't fall under is because 1. casual consumers have no idea what they're getting themselves into when they shop at a GameStop and think that the atrocities that happen are just the way the game business works, and 2. not all GameStops suck. The one down my street is awesome.
Let's not forget that Japanese gamers are a wildly different breed compared to American gamers. The JRPG is Japan's defining genre. They probably think FPS's here are as stagnant as we think JRPG's are there.
It's sci-fi. And it's not Starcraft.
Agree. They stick with their main three guns because they're proven franchises with a history of innovation with each iteration. To claim Blizzard has not innovated is folly, and also completely ignorant of their artistic talent.
Psch. This happens all the time. Game of the Year editions? Platinum/Player's Choice/Greatest Hits? Late ports to other consoles that come with extra features? Not to mention all of the price drops that get thrown around ALL the time for the consoles themselves.
This is reality. When things get old, their price falls, and their creators throw together extra features to give it more lasting value past its prime. It's a fact of life. Less QQ plz.
Yeah, it's kind of obvious...
