Sales should not matter for game awards. Look at Okami a few years ago. It was a total flop but it still got awards for best art design because it deserved it.
Yeah overall I have no problem with X-Play. I just thought that if anything they should have at the very least given killzone 2 a nomination for best multiplayer and also maybe have given a nomination in the best innovation category for the changing objectives.
I'm starting to think that Killzone 2 should be given awards for most under-rated game. I could not even believe that Uncharted 2 got a nod for X-plays best multiplayer category and Killzone 2 didn't I actually prefer Uncharted 2 MP but I feel that Killzone 2 has a stronger base and the changing of objectives mid match was brilliant.

No major self-respecting game mag, show or website can give any other game besides Uncharted 2 their game of the year award. It is just that good period.

I am so sick of hearing people complaining that they lost 40k for leaving early. If it makes you mad then don't leave early. If you have to be somewhere soon then maybe you should not load up a game right before you have to leave.
I like getting the alert it gives you a good sense of accomplishment. Plus I can yell out "Trophy" sounding like the Mortal Kombat "toasty" dude.
This is weak. I want more trophies than that.
The controls on Killzone 1 were horrible. I went back and played it again right before Killzone 2 came out and I have to say it really hasn't aged well. Good thing Killzone 2 ended up being one of the best games of this generation.

Killzone 3 is going to be awesome. I would put my money on GG refining the game to perfection. Co-op, Epic story improved AI (I fear).

I don't think any respectable non-biased gaming site can give the GOTY award to any game but Uncharted 2. They'd just look dumb.
Sales shouldn't matter as far as game awards go bobdog. That is a different debate for a different thread. Sales do not = quality. Look at Force Unleashed as a good example. If we went by sales it should have won a game of the year award. Do you see my point now?
