Singler play is not that short if you try and get the platinum trophy. I'm on my 3rd play through of the game and I have put about 36 hours in on single player and nearly 40 hrs on MP. And after all of that I am still not sick of the game. Uncharted 2 pretty much hasn't left my PS3 since my wife got it for me on my birthday in October.

MW and Call of Duty are arcade shooters at heart. How can a game win with a 5 hour campaign? If Uncharted 2 was 5 hours long I wouldn't buy it. No matter how good it is.

I think half of you didn't even read the article. He is not saying the story is bad. He is saying that sometimes the story or objectives don't fit in context with the game play. The best example he used was the jungle diversion scene. You are supposed to create an explosion to create a diversion. Yet you have to fight a bunch of dudes. Meaning someone would hear. The objective calls for stealth but the game play makes you fire fight.
