I was digging this article right up until this line....
"Nintendo should become a software company, like Sega."
My reply would be why? They innovate. They single handily caused the industry to move towards motion controls. For the author to even suggest that Nintendo give up hardware shows he is in fantasy land.
Looks awesome to me. Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Yeah right. That is a good one. PSP? Really?
I think its sad that anyone can actually be swayed to buy Kinect by some celebrity that does not even play games.
That was week. I thought they got a chance to play it. Instead the author just talks about the trailer. A little late on the news (gamespot) don't you think?
I'd have taken one....Played Alan Wake, maybe some Gears and then sell it.
The new one should not have the RROD problems though...Honestly you should get the new one. Just for the piece of mind. I bought the PS3 Slim when it came out to replace my old one and it was WORTH every penny.
Plus dude the new Xbox 360 'S' is a sexy look machine.
The only problem with your statement is that I used to move my PS3 Phat a lot and it has never scratched a game. Oh wait.....Thats write.....
BLU RAYS DON'T SCRATCH!
Talk about embarrassing.
Move is a must buy for PS3 owners. Rather than complaining I'm starting to save. The bundle is a decent price. I will give you the point about "still no nunchuck". Overall 130 bucks is not a bad price for something that is going to deliver on all the promise of a wii but better.
Xbox has built in Wi-Fi now?!?!?!?! Wow, this is almost as big as Nintendo switching from cartridge to CD. AMAZING.
Seriously though, as a Sony fan here. That thing looks pretty sexy.
They need to fire the writer of this. He seems way out of touch with reality. I'd say Sony and Nintendo pretty much tied for the win. With MS in distant 3rd.
I totally agree. I was a little annoyed by that. But hey it could be worse. Look at Nintendo making the Wiimote and the nunchuck separate in stores. That is even worse when you consider how little the nunchuck adds in comparison to the basic functions of the wiimote.
One thing you forget to mention is that the move is designed for all types of games. Say for example you want to get 4 friends over for some Socom or something.....You could use a combination of Move controllers and Dual Shocks.
With Natal there are no options like that. Natal is a one trick pony. Move is designed to be organic. Don't over look that difference.
80 bucks is not bad at all for new tech. They still sell Wii Controllers 40 for the Wiimote and 20 for the nunchuck.
I am stoked!!!!!!! But this is hilarious watching all the fanboys start in with the we love you Gabe and we are sorry for all the fat jokes.
As a fat person let me say.....We will never stop making fat jokes about Gabe.
I'm confused. They said for a limited time you could get 3 months free. Is that to all PS3 owners or just people that buy the service and then they get an extra 3 months free?
Nintendo killed it today....And I for one am shocked. All this talk about Sony and MS, yet we all forgot about the juggernaut that is Nintendo. Kudos to them. WOW!
I don't get why Microsoft seems to be afraid to just called it the 360 slim. Honestly, Sony fanboys answer this question. Would you talk trash if they called it the slim?
Or just call it the 360 Lite or something. Anything besides 360 S. They just come across as timid and afraid this E3.
"Nintendo isn’t known for stellar hardware, it’s known for great games."
WHAT?! EXCUSE ME?! Personally I'm a PS3 guy. But this guy pisses me off. I hope to god they don't pay him much to write this crap.
So the NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube were all bad hardware? Thats funny because I really don't ever remember my Nintendo products breaking. It was always my PS2, Genesis and Xbox breaking.
