Thats cool if you like the story dude. I like the story too. But it is in no way Oscar worthy. To me that is laughable for someone to argue that point.

In a weird way Kevin Butler reminds me of Crash Bandicoot. Back in the PSone days it was all about having a mascot. Nintendo had Mario and Sega had Sonic. Then BOOM Sony explodes with Crash and some very clever and funny commercials.

I don't agree. Rockstar could have done many different things with the narrative of the story. The subject matter was written like that because it is relative to what is going on in politics today.
Ebert didn't say sorry and give in. At the end of his statement he bashed games even harder than he did before. He basically said that games should not even be mentioned in the same breath as movies and books.
I think a Top 5 list is commendable. You have to narrow it down and really pick which games deserve. If you are writing a top 50, 25, or even 10 list, the top 5 is where it always gets the hardest.
Because it has all the dramatic overtones of an RPG. The only reason people say its not is because there isn't much character building.
With Zelda its more in how and what you use that gives it the RPG title. It's definitely an Action RPG.

I think he is giving us all the finger at the end by saying he should not have even mentioned gaming. Thats basically him being a jerk and saying that games have no place in a discussion with books and movies.
I think the writer looked at it all wrong. Marston grows more desperate as time goes on. Everyone is screwing him and taking their time and he feels desperate to get his family back. He has reservations but above all else he feels he must do these things to save his family. Rockstar even address this in a long drive towards the end of the game.

I agree with the article. MS has had Kinect plastered all over Youtube and Facebook. Sony will step it up soon though. Honestly though if it comes out in September they would be better off if they started the marketing now and HARD!!!
